Nudity seems like a welcome relief from all the bullshit in life." -ANTHONY KIEDIS- Censorship in Heavy Metal has been around since the early 1980s. There have been groups such as The PMRC(Parent's Music Resource Center)have been pushing for record companies to place warning stickers on albums that have "adult" lyrics. Headed by Tipper Gore she made statements like "the lyrics of heavy metal are voilent and deviant and that metal muisc is artistically impoverished." Groups also had criticism of rock and heavy metal music being too much into drug use and the glorification of voilence which network news shows show every night. Now there are groups such as R.O.C(Rock Out Censorship)who they protest against censorship saying that it's only a way to keep the senators wives busy. But the truth is that R.O.C think that censorship is the only way for the goverment to take away our free speech. Is the goverment trying to help us or just the silence the truth?
