The band was formed in 92, by Jeff Abercrombie, and Carl Bell, who were childhood friends. They formed Real to Real with with Jody Abbott and Later changed the name to Small the Joy and added Erik Avkian. In 93 the guys met Brett Scallions (through a mutual friend?) and recruited him to join the band. He had the exact sound they were looking for. They changed their name to Fuel, moved to Harrisburg, Pensylvania and developed quite a following on the east coast. Eventually Jody and Erik decided to go their seperate ways, and the remainder of the guys found Kevin Miller in 97. They had already recorded Sunburn with a session drummer, but immediatly after that they approached Miller about joining the band. Kevin's first concert with Fuel was in NY, after one day of practice as a group....And that is how the Fuel we know and love was born......
