Personal Pronoun Exercise

Analyze each sentence to determine how the pronouns are being used. If they are used correctly, mark the sentence correct. If used incorrectly, change the pronoun.

 

Before you start, fill in the blanks with the proper case:

1. The Subject is always in the ________________ case.

Use the following abbreviations to analyze the sentences below.

Subject=S Verb= V Linking Verb= LV Direct Object= DO

Indirect Object= IO Predicate Nominative= PN Predicate Adjective=PA

Example:         He and her are good friends. He and her are good friends.

                        The pronouns “he” and “her” are used as the subject. The subject has to be

in the nominative case; therefore, “her” must be changed to “she.”
