Introduction
Marissa looked out over the calm ocean. The
moon leaving a veil of white over the glass-like
surface. From where Marissa stood she could see only
the water stretched out for miles, it seemed to stretch
out forever. The warm air ruffled her long auburn
hair. Yet even though she was surrounded by all this
beauty she could not forget the past month with the
death of both her parents and younger brother. Her
new foster family was kind but there was still the
haunting memory. The memory of that horrible day
in June........
