Kayla and Nick walked hand in hand into the jewellers. They walked over to one of the glass display cases and gazed at the beautiful diamond engagement rings. “Oh Nick that one is so beautiful!” She said pointing at a ring with a single diamond in the middle. The gold band was shaped in little rosebuds.
“Can I help you?” A woman walked up behind the display case.
“Yes, we’re looking for an engagement ring.” Nick said with a wide smile. He looked so proud.
“Ah. I see. Your friend here seems to like this one..” she opened the case and brought out the ring. She handed it to Kayla and asked “Would you like to see how it looks?”
Kayla took the ring and put it on her finger. It fit perfectly. She looked at her hand adoringly.
“It looks like it belongs on your finger” Nick said as he looked at her hand. He looked at the clerk and said “How much is it?”
They bought the ring and before they left the store Nick took the ring in his hands, knelt down and asked “Will you marry me, Kayla?”
“Yes Nick I will marry you!” She said. He slipped the ring onto her finger and stood up. He kissed her sweetly.
They walked out of the store with their arms around each other. “So when do you want to have the wedding?” Nick asked.
“Soon as soon as possible!” She looked at him adoringly.
“How about next month?” Nick asked.
“Wow, that is soon. It will be a lot of planning but yes, next month. Say the 10th!” She said. Her pulse was racing.
“Alright November 10th!” He smiled down at her. “We better start planning”
They went to Kays house and found AJ and Camille curled up together on the couch eating popcorn. Kayla walked into the room and smiled at them. They looked so cute together. Nick came up behind her and put his arms around her waist. “Lets tell them” he said quietly.
“Tell us what?” AJ asked.
“We’re getting married!” Kayla blurted out.
“OH MY GOD” Camille jumped up and ran to her friend. Nick backed away not wanting to get hit when the two friends collided. She hugged Kay tightly. “Oh my gosh... where’s the ring?”
Kayla held up her hand and Camille screamed. “We bought it just now, isn’t it beautiful?”
“I am so happy for you!” Camille said again.
AJ shook Nicks hand “Way to go, I hope you guys are happy!”
“We are!” Nick and Kay said at the same time.
