Story: I built this rocket for my buddy Wes. He didn't know what he was doing really so I was glad to finish it for him. I think I did a pretty good job. I didn't name it something random and paint it red like I usually do cause I was going to return it to him. Well I did and the body tube came apart at the coupler after a single launch. I took it home again and glued it and put masking tabe over the coupler area. I never had a problem with that again. It always stuck. Anyway when you launch this thing it goes slow because of its weight and mass. It goes as fast as it would if you threw it straight up, except it would come back down after 5 feet. I would say that this thing gets about 300 feet. When this thing gets to apogee the nosecone comes off and helicopters down. It's cool but you gotta keep your eye on it. On the second to last flight a couple fins came off so I just put some electrical tape on there and they stuck well. On the last flight the chute just came all the way off and the body tube hit the ground with a thud and broke the fins off yet again. Oh well. It's not my rocket! But it is my island.
