"I Was Batgirl..."

When I was three years old, I knew I wanted to be a dancer. Now, after ten years of lessons, I am hopefully on my way to becoming one. Last year, my dance instructor chose "Batman" as the theme for our annual production. As one of the eldest dancers, I was given the privilege of choosing and dancing the role of one of the characters from Batman. At first, I thought that the Riddler would be a great role. "Batman Forever" had just been released on to video then, so he was on everyone's minds. After a summer of thought, not to mention rumors of Batgirl in the next film, I decided upon Batgirl. I was the only one to choose that role. My thinking was that it would be cool to join the dynamic duo in fighting crime. And it was. In our character dance, performed the theme from the 60s series, I got to beat up the villians. In our story, Batman, Robin and Batgirl, accompanied by Alfred, had to defeat Poison Ivy, the Penguin, the Joker, the Riddler, and Two Face. In the dance, I got to beat up the Penguin at the beginning and beat up Poison Ivy at the end. Kind of like in "Batman and Robin," except we thought of it before the film came out. The experience of playing Batgirl was awesome, and I feel special joining the leagues of those who have. Although I will not be remembered as Batgirl, it was still cool playing her. :)
