Bloomsday

This years Bloomsday was better than ever! How could we go wrong with not one but two dinners. One prerace and one post. Then there was the weather. After listening to a week of forcasts that predicted rain, wind, and cold, we could not have had a nicer day for a run. Well, those that could run, but I must tell you as a first time Bloomy sitter outer, I didn't mind one bit. I got to get lots of pictures and even a little sun burn. Not to mention, I was not the least bit tired or sore from running after this one.

I have to admit, I had a very full weekend and I am still recovering from all the activities. Mike Roe and I spent most of Saturday working on the bike trail at his place. I guess maybe too much time because we ended up being half an hour late for the dinner at Darrel's but we were still the first ones there. Whew! Soon people were showing up and the house was packed. It was nice to see old faces and friends. My running is not what it used to be and I just don't make it down to Spokane as much latly.

Sunday morning and there was no rain, wind, or cold. Just a beautiful day for a run, or taking pictures. We stood untill our legs couldn't take it any more, then headed up the hill for the post race graduation party at Peter Tel's.
