Are you discouraged?

Cancer, disease, crime, war, high prices, unemployment, a constant fight for survival.....sometimes this world seems like a terrifying place. We can become so overwelmed by the problems and suffering of this world that we feel ready to collapse. Fear, depression and tears become our life. Joy disappears. Everything seems hopeless. We would like to run away and hide......

We're not alone. Down through the ages other Christians have felt this same despair and panic....

"Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of his presence." Psalms 42:5

These Christians knew where to turn in times of crisis....

"And Jesus answered saying to them 'Have faith in God'." Mark 11:22

They took refuge in the Lord.....

"And in the shadow of Thy wings I will take refuge." Psalms 57:1

They found comfort and peace in the midst of chaos....

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:7

They knew God would take care of them ..... no matter how bad things seemed.....

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

We can have that same peace if we turn to the Lord for help.....

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

Cast our worse fears upon Him....

"Casting all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you." I Peter 5:7

We can ask Him to return the joy to our lives.....

"Restore to me the joy of my salvation." Psalms 51:12

We can know that no matter what happens in this world or how awful things seem - He's always there and will NEVER NEVER leave us - He promised!

Hebrew 13:5 - "....for He Himself has said, 'I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you'."

"Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of the faith." Hebrews 12:2

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." Psalms 106:1

If you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior yet - you need to be saved first before you can claim the peace and joy of God. Check out the Way to Salvation.
