Ahhhhh....my favorite time of year!!!! I LOVE Christmas!! I decorate my house starting the day after Thanksgiving... lights, holly, evergreens and my collection of snowmen are everywhere!!! I love the freshness of the winter air, and a roaring fire to sit by with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book.
I love the parties and visiting with friends that I haven't seen in a while. Those long awaited Christmas cards in the mail...with addresses that I had lost the year before. I like buying the presents for my children and trying to find that "special" gift that matches their personality.
But MOST of all....I love the FEELING of the holidays. The warmth and caring that through most of the year goes unnoticed, most times unappreciated, and saddest of all - ungiven. During this time of year I find myself smiling more, more patient, and yes - even more understanding.
You have to admit that it's a very special time of year....most likely the only time of the year that the whole family gets together all in the same place!!!
