I am 52, mother of 3 grown sons. Most of my life revolves around my family and work. But I do manage to take some time out for myself now and then. Mostly to play on my computer!! I Love to "surf the net" it amazes me what you can find out there!!! I also love to read (anything and everything!!) Some of my friends tell me that I have a "warped" sense of humor... maybe it's true ~grin~, but I'll never tell!! I love all sorts of jokes...and my kids delight in telling me the worst ones they can find!!
If you're wondering about the name "DDBYRD"....well, my parents gave it to me when I was a little girl. I used to imitate the birds in our backyard, and since my real name is Denise....you can figure it out from there!!! (My Dad STILL calls me by my nickname......) : ) I even have it on my license plate, so if you see that Maine plate running around - stop and say hello!!

This wonderful dog passed away of old age (he was 13) in December of 2003...
Our Shelti - "Bandit"
Sadly I must report that this wonderful dog passed away recently. 6-23-01, We will miss him dreadfully.
Our Newfie/Mix - "Nelson"
Nelson was an "adoptee" from the Marlee Animal Shelter. Unfortunatly this awesome dog developed diabetes.... and his poor body refused to accept the insulin required to keep him alive. He died peacefully and quietly at the vets.. who made him as comfortable as possible. (Feb 2003)We miss him....
This page is dedicated to the memory of these fine animals who have since passed on to a "better place" our Boxer, "Bogie" and our German Short-haired Pointer, "Ripper" , and our wonderful Shelti, "Bandit", "Nelson" our Newfie, and "Griffin"

We have always been a "dog" family and usually have at least 3 of them running around (one for each kid...*lol*...) We have recently rescued a couple of dogs from our local shelter "Jenny", a Pit Bull mix, and "Rocky" a pure bred Walker Hound. I'll be posting photos of them shortly!
