November 16, 1991 (The Escape Club-Salisbury, Mass.)~Deth Fest '91~w/Chad, Shelly, Mandy, Brian, Drew, Kevin, Stan Death, Pestilence, Vio-Aggression, Sorrow, Automocaust, Delusion, Brutal Truth, Dread, Sangatorion, + 6 more (?) [show #1]First show and it was 13 hrs long!!! Noon to 1am. Oh to be young again! I wish I had all the bands listed, but at least I got to see Death once and it was with the original singer, Chuck Muldener before he died.

May 15, 1992 (The Escape Club- Salisbury, Mass.) Murphy's Law, Youth with Bats, Xerxes, Dear Life, Blind Justice [show #2]

August 13, 1994 (Saugurties, New York)~Woodstock '94~w/Arik Arsenault Joe Cocker, Cypris Hill, Henry Rollins, Melissa Etheridge, Crosby Stills and Nash, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Blind Melon [show #3]What an experience!! Made a last-minute decision on Friday, and headed out on our way, not expecting to get in. We were going to scope it out then go down to NYC. When we got there, we were met with a roadblock into Saugerties and you needed either proof that you lived within the boundaries, or a concert ticket. We had neither. We paid a guy 10 bucks to park at his house 2 miles up the road (he gave us a ride back to the checkpoint), then paid another guy in a pickup truck $5 to drive us in to the front gate so we didn't have to wait for busses. That was 8 miles in. When we go in, much to our surprise, we found a break in the fence and walked through it and low and behold...we were in! Free! We only stayed for the one full day which was the best day in my opinion. And as we were taking the long road (11 miles) back to the car, we heard the final band, which was Aerosmith, playing. Had I been more into my concerts back then, I would have stayed for at least a few songs so I could say I'd seen them.

While waiting for Primus to come on, people got antsy and began throwing water bottles across the stadium. If you looked up, that was all you could see.

September 23, 1998 (Worcester Centrum- Worcester, Mass)~The Family Values Tour~w/Todd Bennett KoRn, Rammstein, Ice Cube, Limp Bizkit, Orgy, Incubus [show #24] Great show! Loved the variety. Key moments were when Limp Bizkit first kicked off their set, the entire arena exploded, and Todd and I were instantly separated. I fell down and each time I tried to get up I was stepped on. Luckily someone grabbed my hand and pulled me up. By the time Korn came on, the floor was shoulder to shoulder.

November 7, 1998 (Tsongas Arena- Lowell, Mass)w/John Thompson KoRn, Incubus, Orgy [show #28] Loved Korn! HATED the crowd. Took John to his first Korn show and each time I tried to sike him up that a mosh part was coming, the crowd just wouldn't move. Even after we STARTED a small mosh pit, it died down just as fast. Then I was disappointed that Korn seemed to skimp on their set. They never played No One's There, which I really wanted to hear, and NO ENCOR?!?!? That meant no Faget! What??

November 8, 1998 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)w/Todd Bennett KoRn, Incubus, Orgy [show #29] Ah-HAH! I figured out the problem. Mass sucks! Not only was the crown 100 % better at this show, Jonathan and the band obviously were going off the vibes last night and that's why they cut the show short. Not only did they play No One's There, but they did have the encore and finished with Faget. Serves you right Mass. Maine is always better.

November 30, 1999 (Worcester Centrum- Worcester, Mass.)w/Todd Bennett> Rage Against the Machine, Gang Star [show #45] First time seeing Rage and it was AWESOME!! One way to get up front is to stand behind my man, Todd, and use him as a battering ram. At another point, I was jumping up and down and while I was in the air, Todd pushed me and I think I went straight through the pit and wound up in the front by the stage. GOOD TIMES!

August 6, 2001 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~The Day Offest~Linkin Park, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Drowning Pool[show #64] The show started early so we missed all but one song from Drowning Pool and Slipknot cancelled.......BASTARDS!!!! But, Disturbed kicked ass so thanks to them

September 3, 2001 (The Asylum- Portland, Maine) Mushroomhead, Dog Fashion Disco, Deafeye[show #65] THE ASYLUM SUCKS!!!!! We left before W.A.S.P even came on cause the Asylum was late and the sound sucked. I hate this place...

October 21, 2001 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~The Pledge of Allegiance Tour~ Slipknot, System of a Down, Rammstein, American Head Charge, No One[show #66]

November 2, 2001 (The Falls Tavern- Sanford, Maine)"~Benefit show for Mark~"w/ Rusty Adams Maniacal[show #67] A show I rath had not happened as it was to raise money for Rusty's nephew who tragically died at his own party when someone ran up to him and hugged him and they both went over the railing and he broke his neck. Sadly, Rusty would be joining him a little over 20 yrs later.

February 22, 2002 (The Palladium- Worcester, Mass.) Static X, Soulfly, Soil, Onesidezero[show #68]

March 16, 2002 (The State Theatre- Portland, Maine) Coal Chamber, Il Nino, 40 Below Summer[show #69] Tree opened up first and we were too late to see them. Drowning Pool was the headliner but because all the parking was full due to a basketball tournament at the Civic Center, we were forced to park in a parking garage. We had to leave at 10:40 pm (before Drowning Pool came on) in fear they might close the garage. Drowning went on to play live at WrestleMania 18 the very next day...

March 23, 2002 (The Asylum- Portland, Maine) Mushroomhead, Lamb of God, eighteen visions, Five Point 0[show #70]

April 21, 2002 (The Asylum- Portland, Maine) Gwar, Disarray, Ochlochracy[show #71] Gwar's first time in Maine and it was great. I was completely covered in blood. It "WAS" a white t-shirt I was wearing. :)

July 1, 2002 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~WWE Tour Of Defiance~ Kurt Angle vs. Edge*Winner*, Rikishi vs. Test*Winner*, -Tag Team Match- The Big Valbowski & Hardcore Holly vs. Billy and Chuck*Winners still champs*, -Cruiserweight-The Hurricane vs. Jamie Noble w/Nidia*Winner still champ*, -Cruiserweight Tag Team- Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio, Jr. vs. Tajiri & Chavo Guerrero*Winners still champs*, Hugh Morrus & Sho Funaki & Mark Henry vs. Reverend D-Von & Deacon Bautista & Albert*Winners*, -Bra & Panties Match- Stacey Keibler vs. Tori Wilson*Winner*, -USA vs. Canada- Steve Bradlee & Randy Orton vs. Lance Storm & Christian*Winners*, Funaki vs. Riko*Winner*[Not a concert. For reference only.] Awesome show. Tori is so beautiful. Me, Holly and John sat in the seventh row right near the aisle where the wrestlers come out. I touched Hardcore Holly, Val Venus, Rikishi and Edge shook my hand.:)

October 8, 2002 (Verizon Wireless Center- Manchester, NH)~Pop Sux Tour~ Korn, Disturbed, Trust Company[show #72] It should be called the "New Hampshire Sux Tour". The crowd was so lame. There were 3 pits and in between each pit everyone was just standing there bobbing their heads up and down. It was impossible to get everyone moving around. I guarantee Maine will be better.

October 13, 2002 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine) ~Pop Sux Tour~ Korn, Disturbed, Sev[show #73] Yup, I was right. Maine kicked ass. From the beginning of Disturbed til the end of Korn, the place was chaotic. This is how a concert should be. I really needed that.

October 27, 2002 (Chantilly's- Manchester, NH)~Halloween Bash~Kittie, Clockwise, Acacia, Stepa[show #74] Well this was a waste of time kinda. Kittie was good and Stepa and clockwise were too. Otep was originally on the bill and didn't show for some reason. They were the main reason we went.

January 17, 2003 (The Bombshelter- Manchester, NH)w/Rusty Adams Maniacal, Notion [show #75] Rusty and I showed up way early, so we got in free and got to hang out with Maniacal the whole time. They're a pretty cool group of guys. Notion was OK but they need to stick with one genre of music. It was hard to tell where they belong.

March 6, 2003 (State Theatre- Portland, Maine) Mudvayne, audioblack, dcm, Ransom [show #76] Ransome kinda sucked, dcm were pretty cool, audioblack was not my cup of tea; everyone kinda booed them. But, Mudvayne kicked ass and the pits were pretty intense.

April 24, 2003 (Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom- Hampton Beach, NH) HED PE, Blind By Noon, Purge d.i., Sleepwalk[show #77] HED PE KICK ASS!!!!!!

June 19, 2003 (Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom- Hampton Beach, NH) Powerman 5000, Ra, Shinedown, Reach 454[show #78] Well, I must say this show was very disappointing. Powerman 5000 kicked ass of course but what a shitty night. My friend won the tickets from WHEB and when we go there, we weren't even on the list. John had to call Baker from WHEB and have him call the casino and square it away. Then we were supposed to get Powderman's autograph after their set, so we bought the CD from the Strawberry's booth and when it came time to get the autograph security said we had to have a special bracelet to get it. We knew nothing about these bracelets so we waisted money on the CD (which I already had). The casino is now on my shit list. FUCK YOU!!!!

August 8, 2003 (Augusta Civic Center- Augusta, Maine) Korn, Endo[show #79] Endo had a great set...did great getting the crowd pumped. Korn? Well....what can I say except KORN FUCKING KICKS ASS!!!! Thanks for putting on a strictly Maine show. We appreciate it.

October 21, 2003 (State Theatre- Portland, Maine)~Jagermeister Music Tour~ Slayer, Hatebreed, Arch Enemy, Dry Kill Logic[show #80] Would have liked to have heard a longer set from Dry Kill Logic. Arch Enemy wasn't my cup of tea. Hatebreed and Slayer both kicked ass. Plus, I got a Jagermusic CD and a poster and had Tom Araya (Slayer) sign it along with Paul Booth (Tattoo artist).

February 27, 2004 (The Bombshelter- Manchester, NH)- w/Rusty, Steve, Sarah Life of Agony, First Shove, Dementia 13, Captain Cutthroat[show #81] Well, Captain Cutthroat sounded like a cross between Sam Black Church and Mushroomhead but they just could not pull it off. I didn't care for them. Dementia 13 was a cross between Sick of it all and the Misfits. I thought they were pretty good. First Shove sounded a lot like Hatebreed and I thought they were great. LOA ruled like they were never away, and it was great to see them again. Too bad Steve and Sarah slept through them in the car. :)

July 11, 2004 (Augusta Civic Center- Augusta, Maine)w/Todd Slayer, Slipknot, Hatebreed[show #82] Well, God Forbid actually opened up first but Todd and I missed them cause we arrived too late. I was suppose to meet Allison there but her and her b/f were way up front and we all know that I'd rather be in the pits. I wish I could have met her though...maybe some other time. Hatebreed was awesome as usual. Slipknot was killer. Corey had the whole floor got down on their knees and then jumped up at the same time during a song. We moshed hard during Slipknot. Slayer was great as usual. I love to hear the old stuff. People were getting tired though from the moshing during Slipknot. They also were filming footage for a home video. I hope I'm in it. :)

March 2, 2005 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~The Taste of Chaos Tour~w/Matt Gauthier and Nate Smith The Used, My Chemical Romance, Killswitch Engage, Senses Fail, My Static Lullaby, Underoath[show #83] Well, to be honest, I only went to this show for Killswitch. But, I have to admit that MCR and The Used were great. It was cool to see the two bands merge for "Under Pressure." Killswitch was great, of course, but I'd like to see them headline (or at least be second to last). Matt and I got damaged in the pits (felt the effects for days), couldn't get Nate to join us though. :)

April 30, 2005 (Hampton Beach Casino, NH)w/Matt Gauthier Sevendust, Skindred (1), BobaFlex (1), Soundevice[show #84] Got pretty wrecked in the pit again. By the end, I was dancing and throwing my arms...but my feet just couldn't leave the floor. Sevendust was good, as usual...LOUD. Skindred was great...finally got to see them, Soundevice was good and BobaFlex was a real unexpected surprise. They were sooo good, like a cross between Static-X and System of a Down. They were a funny bunch of guys too (with their dancing), what a good stage presence.

July 12, 2005 (Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, Maine)~WCYY 10th Birthday Celebration~w/Sheila Merkisen and Matt Gauthier 3 Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, no address[show #85] Not the best show I've ever been to by any means. But it's definitely in the top 85...I'll let you ponder that for a moment...Ok, No Address...good, Breaking Benjamin was real good. Staind, I was very disappointed in. I'm used to a heavier show by them. It should be a heavy show with a few ballads thrown in to give you a breather, not the other way around. 3 Doors Down's set was pretty cool but I'm just not a fan. Oh well, can't win them all. I did see my aunt Paula, cousin Kristi, and Rebeccah though.

August 1, 2005 (State Theatre, Portland, Maine)w/Matt Gauthier Chevelle, Taproot, 30 Seconds to Mars[show #86] Chevelle packed a pretty good punch, the crowd was wild. Taproot, I've always thought of as one of the fanfriendliest bands around still live to the label; the singer sang a song walking up to the balcony and shaking hands, tossed the mike to some fans to let them sing a bit, and even came into the mosh pit for a bit while the band played on--I got to mosh with him. I have to say, I didn't really care for 30 seconds to mars but from the moment I saw him, I could've sworn he looked like an actor I've seen before. As it turns out...he is. He's Jared Leto from Urban Legend, Panic Room, and Alexander. If I'd only gotten their autograph, I'd have my first actor's signature. DAMMIT!!!

August 19, 2005 (Cumberland County Civic Center/State Theatre, Portland, Maine)~Gigantour~w/Todd and Kenny Bennet Dream Theatre, Fear Factory, Dillinger Escape Plan, Nevermore, Life of Agony, Symphony X, Dry Kill Logic, Bobaflex (2)[show #87] This tour had the potential to be one of the biggest and best that I've ever been to--but it had the exact opposite effect. First off, the show was supposed to start at 7pm, we arrived at 6pm just intime to catch the end of Nevermore's set. Then, instead of having a second stage, or a rotating stage, they split the tour up between the Civic Center and State Theatre. All the sets were way too short at both venues. I didn't really care for Dillinger Escape Plan. Fear Factory's set was waaay too short, they deserve more respect than that. I was looking forward to them the most. I was surprised that I liked Dream Theatre, but they're songs are way too long and drawn out. We had to skip Megadeth cause we were told that the State Theatre shows start at 9pm, we got there expecting to miss part of Boba Flex, turns out we were early cause it didn't start until 10:15. So we missed all of Megadeth for nothing. But I did get to talk to one of the singers of Boba Flex. In short, Boba Flex, Dry Kill Logic, and Life of Agony were all great except the sound really sucked. Too loud, even for me. Didn't care for Symphony X but the music was cool I did run into Rusty and Steve which was cool to see them again. I expected better of this tour.

December 2, 2005 (State Theatre, Portland, Maine)~The Masters of Horror Tour~w/Todd and Kenny Bennet Mudvayne, Sevendust, 10 Years, Bobaflex (3)[show #88] Finally a show I can be 100% satisfied with. Bobaflex rocked as usual; it's nice to see that their fanbase is growing. I'm interested to see where they are in a few years. I'm not much into 10 Years but I admit they were real good. The song they play on the radio (Wasteland) was great. Sevendust kicked ass as usual, it's always a pleasure to be on the floor during their set. Kenny got a bloody nose during the first song but he was fine. That's what we call a "rock show baptism", it's happened to the best of us. :) We told him we hoped he learned a valuable lesson: "Don't block with your face." Mudvayne rocked!! I was soo beat by the end, but it was great fun.

December 6, 2005 (State Theatre, Portland, Maine)~The Jagermeister Music Tour~w/Matt Gauthier Disturbed, Corrosion of Conformity, Dry Kill Logic[show #89] The Lizard Man--tattooed from head to toe with green scales--came out to do some "fucked up shit" in between acts. He put a hook into his nostrils and out his mouth, a condom into his throat and blew it (like a balloon) out of his nostril, hooked a Jager keg to his earlobes and lifted, and had his partner throw darts into his flesh. His partner after put hooks in both eyelids and lifted a couple 2 oz bottles of soda with them. Dry Kill rocked, I hope to see them on a headlining gig someday soon. They had a lot of fans but the place just wasn't hopping enough, except for the center of the floor. So, I made my way to where the action was cause I wasn't about to miss out on "Rot". C.O.C was pretty good. I was surprised at how many of the younger crowd knew them. Disturbed put on a great show as usual, the pits were intense. Remember folks...the name of the band is Disturbed...not CYY. *winks*.

March 6, 2006 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~The Taste of Chaos Tour~w/Matt Gauthier Deftones, Thrice, Atreyu, Story of the Year, As I Lay Dying, Funeral for a Friend, The Receiving End of Sirens, Confession, Adair, Greeley Estates, Street Drum Corps, The Smashup, Disaster Complex[show #90] I guess I'm not as much of a fan of Deftones as I once was; they're much mellower than I remember (like Staind). I have to say that I've never seen so much crowd surfing at a single show before. Damn! I had to constantly face the back so I wouldn't have some young cutie land on my head. All in all it was a pretty good show, some of the second stage bands were pretty good (including a local band called Danger [something-or-other]). I think I'll pick Story of the Year as the best set of the show. But, I've said this before, shows with this many bands are just too long. By the end, you're just so worn out, dehydrated, and sweaty, that you just can't mosh anymore.

March 26, 2006 (The Colisee- Lewiston, Maine)w/Todd, Rusty, Kenny, Matt, Jessica Korn, Mudvayne, 10 Years[show #91] KICKASS!! Although I'm not much into 10 Years, they always put on a good set-Wastelands being the best. Mudvayne, as always, did the job well...hope to see them many more times. Korn...what the hell do I say about a band I've now seen 13 times? I know, 13 ain't nearly enough. I saved up my energy for these guys and almost blew it all in the first 2 songs. Todd and I almost had to beat the b/f of some stupid bitch who kept punching us for bumping into her (coincidently, she's the only girl who flashed her tits earlier). She was going crazy. Most girls just don't grasp the concept, they think everyone should 'watch out' for them. If you can't take the heat...GET THE FUCK OUT!! Towards the end, some girl wanted me and another guy to hoist her up onto the crowd but she put all her weight on my hand before I had a good hold on her. My thumb bent way back, I thought it was broke cause I felt like I was going to pass out so Todd escorted me over to the side. He went back in, I sat down for 2 songs (felt better...just a sprang I guess), then got up and got a cup of ice water (best damn water I ever tasted) and went back into the pits in time for the closing...'Blind'.

June 21, 2006 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)w/Rusty Nine Inch Nails, Peaches[show #92] Well, for starters, this show was supposed to be on February 28 but Trent got sick and had to postpone. Peaches didn't really do anything for me. They sounded like some 80's techno/rock band like Devo...only heavier. They had a couple good tunes and beats, but it was all about sex; got the kids' attention though. NIN was fucking amazing. I honestly didn't expect much since it's been so long (Woodstock '94) since I've seen them, but I'd have to say they put on one of the best damn rock shows I've ever seen/heard. The sound was perfect, and the light show was in sync with it all. They even had this metal cage looking thing that went down across the stage that had a programmed light show in it. Hard to explain unless you were there but it was amazing. A++ come back soon you guys.

October 11, 2006 (America Gardens Theatre, Epcot Center, Orlando, Florida)w/Mom, Dennis, Jamie, Logan, Danielle Loverboy[show #93] Not sure if Epcot has different bands playing every week or what but this is my first 80's band. They were pretty good. Still look like they're having fun. It was only a half hour though but still counts. :)

November 17, 2006 (Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~WCYY Tenth Annual Holida Bizarre/Music as a Weapon Tour~w/Matt Guthier, Terry Hamilton Disturbed, Stone Sour, Flyleaf, Nonpoint[show #94] Nonpoint did a great job opening things up. Flyleaf was alright but seemed a bit out of place at this show. Stone Sour was great. They were the main reason I went to this show and I wasn't disappointed at all. The pits were wild. I was soaked by the time the show was over. Disturbed, as always, put on a great show and it was nice to learn that of all CD sales for the Disturbed "Ten Thousand Fists", Portland ranked #3 in the country. YEAH US!! The best part of the show is when WCYY came out ragging on Guns N Roses for cancelling the show last week. They beat up some guy dressed like Axl Rose and then filmed everyone giving the finger and chanting "AXL SUCKS!" They said they were going to send the tape to Guns' record company. :)

March 26, 2007(The Station- Portland, Maine)w/Terry and Carl Hamilton, Rusty and Ian Powerman 5000, Hour-Past, Cage 9, Deadseason, A New Vision[show #95] Wow, this is my first time at The Station and boy is it small. It was weird seeing Powerman play here...but they did what they always do: Rocked the place!! I wasn't too into A New Vision, Cage 9, and Hour-Past but they were alright. But Maine's very own Deadseason kicked major ass! I can't believe I never heard them till now. I definitely want to see them again.

May 20, 2007(Amphitheatre- Hershey Park, Hershey, Pa)w/Jamie, Logan, Mom, Dennis Joan Jett and the Blackhearts[show #96] I'm glad we decided to go to Hershey Park a second time cause we got more out of it this time. Like seeing Joan Jett!! She still rocks...and looks pretty damn good too. I finally got to see "I Love Rock N Roll" played live...and even snuck a short video clip with my digital camera. :) Don't worry Joan, I don't like the "Turkish Twist" either. ;)

July 13, 2007(Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, Maine)w/Matt Gauthier Tool, Big Business[show #97] Kinda a disappointment. I didn't really care for Big Business, the drummer was the best, but they had their moments of interest. I do like Tool, wanted to see them again since I only last saw them in '98, and their songs are quite long enough...I don't think they needed to have 4-5 minute long musical interludes in between each song. $64 bucks was way too much for a ticket to see one and a half bands (this isn't country after all) and the $38 T-Shirts are ridiculous. The light show started to be intriguing at the end though.

August 21, 2007(Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton, NH)w/Terry Hamilton, Chris Nobert Stone Sour, Dirty Little Rabbits, Sardona[show #98] Sardona, from Australia really wasn't my cup of tea...but the last song really rocked. Dirty Little Rabbits was great. Female singer that came out with her hair in pigtails kinda creeped me out but she was good. The band had a circus-esque type sound. The drummer, who happens to be Clown from Slipknot, took a drink from a water bottle and tossed it to the crowd, right into my arms. I took a swig myself and tossed it behind me, so now I can say I shared a water with Clown :). Stone Sour completely rocked as usual, the pits were great. You can tell how much Corey loves the biz when everyone sings along to "Bother" and he just stares at them with a huge smile on his face, eyes glazed.

September 11, 2007(The Station- Portland, Maine)w/Rusty Adams Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Protest the Hero, The Showdown[show #99] Texas born The Showdown were great. Their music was a mix of southern rock and metal. The crowd was already pumped by the end of their set. I didn't really care for Protest the Hero. Some of it had a good beat but then the tempo would change constantly, and the singer's voice was too screechy. I really liked All That Remains, they sounded like a cross between Hatebreed and Chaimira. Shadows Fall was good too, but I was in the other room for the set and my attention kept going to the cute waitress in the pink shirt and the cute blonde that smiled at me and hit me in the leg. ;)

October 9, 2007(Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)w/Rusty Adams, Terry and Carl Hamilton Korn, Hellyeah, Droid, Five Finger Death Punch[show #100] Well I made it. Show # 100!!! And of all bands, it turned out to be Korn. :) What luck eh? Five finger was ok, the music I liked and one song I really liked. Droid I didn't care for at all...they were just a mess, no steady beat or rhythm. Hellyeah was great, Vinni rocks that double bass like you wouldn't believe. And Korn, always...love you to pieces...but the crowd--Good God, the crowd was pathetic! No one even moshed until Blind, which was the last song. So I most certainly dove in for that one. I almost thought we were in Manchester

October 14, 2007(Hampton Beach Casino, Hampton, NH)~Operation: Annihilation Tour~w/Terry Hamilton Static X, Shadows Fall, 3 Inches Of Blood, Divine Heresy[show #101] Alrighty, Dino Cazares' [ex-Fear Factory] own Divine Heresy kicked off the show and f'n rocked. They were even down a man (the lead singer broke his foot in a fall) and the bassist took over as lead vocalist and they STILL rocked. Tony Campos of Static X came out and jammed with them on the Slayer cover of Angel of Death (that rocked too!!)! And Dino tossed out some DH guitar picks...and I got one. 3 Inches of blood also rocked, we were off to a good start. Shadows Fall were quite popular, the pits were insane. I honestly don't see what people get from them cause they just don't do it for me...I don't know what it is. But Mr. Wayne Static and his crew kicked buttocks as usual. There were times I thought the damn floor was going to collapse beneath us.

November 17, 2007(Hampton Beach Casino, Hampton, NH)~Alone I Play Tour~w/Jennifer Wells Jonathan Davis, Shenkar, Godhead[show #102] This was a really good show. It was nice to be able to sit and watch something like that and though it was acoustic, it still rocked. Godhead put on a good show. I don't think I ever heard them really; non-acoustic but this set was great. I didn't really care for Shenkar, he opened up with a good one I guess but his voice just got annoying. I think he did some work on the "Queen of the Damned" soundtrack with Jonathan. He also played violin for Jonathan's set but his violin was turned up way too high. Jonathan's set was great; he sat in a tall wooden chair with lion's heads carved in the arm-rests and red velvet cushions. He played the entire "Queen of the Damned" soundtrack, some modified versions of a few Korn songs, Neil Diamond's "Love on the Rocks", New Order's "Blue Monday", and Duran Duran's "The Chauffer". He even mentioned Head ("My boy, Head) when talking about when he wrote a song and showed love for the guy. It was good to know there's no bad blood between them.

April, 18 2009(Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Me)~Music As A Weapon Tour~w/Terry and Carl Hamilton Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Lacuna Coil[show #103] Always good to have Disturbed back in the area. The day was great from the beginning. I met Disturbed and Killswitch and got their autographs. :) Lacuna Coil was pretty good, the crowd responded well. Chimaira seemed a bit heavy for this lineup but they were still good. Killswitch, a great bunch of guys, were real good and of course Disturbed rocked as usual.

May 17, 2009(The Music Hall-Portsmouth, NH)~Spoken Word Tour~w/Jen Noon Henry Rollins[Not a concert. Only for reference.] Not so much a show but worth putting in here anyway. It was a great way to spend my birthday. Henry (now 48--where does the time go?) is the man. This was very inciteful. Really made you think about who we should be hating. Henry talked about going to places like Beirut and Iran and just walking down the streets alone and meeting people, making new friends. A Lebanese man who invited him home to his family for VERY HOT coffee, for example. Or marching down the streets with angry mourners after the president was assassinated and being told by an old man that he should never give up on peace. His goal was to prove that these countries that we are bred to fear are not so bad. It's not the people, they are not ALL evil any more than we are. I mean, would you walk along downtown Los Angeles alone after dark? No. I hope I get to see him again. I'm proud of his efforts. We need more like him.

May 23, 2009(Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion- Gilford, NH)~Rock On! Fest 2009~w/Jen Wells Korn, Burn Halo, Vegas Temper, Kinetic Theory, Soul Octane Burner, Hell Within, burne, A Simple Complex, Fates Divide, HourPast, Craving Lucy, Fear the State, Crooked, Deadly Apples, Joint Damage, Leaving Eden, Temper, Prospect Hill, MindsetX, Mongrel, Living Syndication, Diecast, HEXEREI[show #104] Oh man, what a long day! Practically 11 hours standing by the front barricade so we can be frontside for Korn. Typically I hate going to "Fest's" because I hate to be confined to the venue ALL day and paying their outrages prices...so, I just starved myself all day. No biggy. The bands were great. I love checking out new bands. Joint Damage was one of my faves and coincidently ran into one of the singer's(Justin) on the floor and shook his hand. I know they love hearing from the fans. Jen and I ended up right next to another young couple at the barricade who just happened to be from the same area, and HE works security with a guy I work with. :) Small world. Him and I spent half the Korn set with our hands locked tightly on the rail on each side of our women and our feet braced on it as well leaning back against the constant waves and weight of the over-excited crowd. Korn was great...but why don't they play Faget anymore? :(

July 24, 2009(Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Maine)~Pedal to the Metal Tour~w/Jen Wells Mudvayne, Black Label Society, Static X, Suicide Silence, Hellzapoppin' Sideshow[show #105] I was mostly there to see Static X and Black Label. BL was great, Zack can really wail on that guitar. I was a bit disappointed that Static X didn't play longer though. I didn't like Suicide Silence and felt jipped that Dope and Bury Your Dead wasn't even there. I'm not much into Mudvayne anymore but I hung around for a bit. I ditched Jen cause of her new boyfriend (you're welcome by the way), probably be the last for us, and I hung out with Terry and some guys that work at Shaws. The Sideshow was fucked up, kinda reminded me of the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow.

August 16, 2009(Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom- Hampton Beach, NH)w/Heather Oppedisano The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Catch 22, The Pietasters[show #106] What a great show. The Pietasters was a 3 piece band with 2 guitarists (one of which is the singer) and a bass player (the big stand up basses). They looked and sounded like they were straight out of the 50's. They were actually pretty good. Catch 22 had the crowd going wild, they were quite exciting. The Bosstones were great. I've never seen the Hampton Beach Casino so packed, and I've NEVER seen so much positive energy and dancing go on for so long before. The group was just great all around, shook hands throughout the set, pulled people up on stage to dance a bit. Stole a Yankee hat and tossed it to the side :). I can't wait to see them again.

September 20, 2009(New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, NH)w/Mom, Jamie, Logan & Bill Josh Turner and The Tonkin' Honkies[show #107] Any live performance is considered an addition to the list of shows...even if it is country. :) Josh played a 45 min set at the Sylvania 300 and also sang "The Star Spangled Banner". He's got quite the deep voice for a young guy. They were good.

March 18, 2010(The Empire- Portland, Maine)w/John, Heather & Kevin Spawn of Man, The Marble Socket[show #108] The lead singer of Marble Socket is a buddy/coworker of mine, Dominick. This was my first time seeing them live and I was impressed. I liked them alot. Dom's got a set of lungs on him I'll tell ya. Spawn of Man was OK. Pigboat was the headliner but I didn't feel like staying, the show started at 10pm as it was and I worked in the morning. :)

March 30, 2010(The Asylum- Portland, Maine)w/Terry Clutch, Danko Jones, Caverns[show #109] Haven't seen Clutch in ages but they still rock! We were right up front against the stage next to my buddy from work who was working security. Danko Jones was really good, kinda like southern rock with a kicking beat (though they are from Toronto) and Caverns was mainly instrumental. Talented but not really my type of music. I have to hand it to the "singer" though, he fell down and kept right on playing the guitar. :)

April 3, 2010(The Empire- Portland, Maine)w/Todd Johnson Spawn of Man, The Marble Socket[show #110] I wish Empire wouldn't open so damned late! But Marble Socket rocked again. Dom always remembers his friends, he thanked Todd and I while up on stage for coming to the show. My pleasure Dom. :)

May 7, 2010(Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom- Hampton, NH)~Korn's Ballroom Blitz Tour~w/Heather Oppedisano Korn, 2 Cents, Prospect Hill[show #111] Holy shit!!! From beginning of Korn's set till the end it was flat out moshing and jumping around. It was GREAT!!! Mostly played their old hits too. 2 Cents got the place pumped. They were heavy, the drummer sang at first then a new drummer took over and he just sang. It was my second time seeing Prospect Hill (the first being Meadowbrook last year at the Rock On! Fest with Korn). These guys are really good, I'm surprised you don't hear more from them.

May 8, 2010(The Colisee- Lewiston, Maine)~Korn's Ballroom Blitz Tour~w/Matt Gauthier, Jenn Wells Korn, Dead Season, 2 Cents, as summer dies[show #112] Two in a row baby!!! Can never get sick of Korn. Basically the same set except this show they played "Brick in the Wall." as summer dies was pretty good, cute female bassist, but their mics weren't working for half of the first song. 2 Cents got the crowd moving once again. Dead Season rocked but their music wasn't working at first either. I think the Colisee's sound crew needs to get a hold on things, but it was cool watching them perform in a venue that big. The security was kinda in the way some of the time but they weren't all that bad. People were getting worn out towards the end of Korn's set...I lost a pound and a half though. :)

June 9, 2010(Port City Music Hall- Portland, Maine)w/Matt Gauthier All That Remains, Fear Factory, Silent Civilian, Thy Will Be Done[show #113] My ONLY reason for going to this show was the reuniting of Fear Factory. It was great to see them again in such an up close and personal setting. My first time going to the Port City Music Hall, nice little place. Hopefully they start headlining again soon. I knocked knuckles with Dino and slapped him 5. Thy Will Be Done was cool. The sound was great and the lead guitarist kicked ass. Burton singled me out when he was trying to get everyone to clap to the beat before starting the intro to "Reign in Blood" by Slayer. Pointing, he said, "I'm talking to you" :) Oops, sorry dude, I was telling Matt something. Silent Civilian was good also, nice rocking beats. All That Remains had a cute lil female bass player.

July 22, 2010(Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom- Hampton, NH)w/Jenn Wells Aaron Lewis[show #114] Not a bad show. I hated our seats though, way in the back. *note to self-buy your tix right when they go on sale, not 10 min later* Aaron played some Staind songs as well as some covers (What's going on? Patience, The Joker, Jessy's girl, etc). He was standing on the side of the road beside McDonalds when we pulled up to the parking lot.

July 27, 2010(The Comcast Center- Foxboro, Ma)~The Mayhem Fest~w/Shelly Gage Korn, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Atreyu, Hatebreed, Chimaira, 3 Inches Of Blood, In This Moment[show #115] What a freaking HOT day this was...but the show kicked ass! I got Rob Zombie's (and crew) autograph! I also got Fieldy and Ray Luzier's and was very disappointed about how much of an ass clown Fieldy turned out to be. Zombie was quite an entertaining set and Avenged Sevenfold was surprisingly great as well. In This Moment has a hot singer and actually had the crowd do a circle pit around her while singing at the sound stage. The dirtbikers were sick with their flips.

August 14, 2010(Champions Sports Bar- Biddeford, Me)w/Todd The Marble Socket, Another Lesson Learned, Blood Red Thrust, Anesthesia Awareness[show #116] It's good to see the crowds starting to mosh a bit for Dom and the band. I hang back a bit, I guess I feel weird moshing with just a couple guys (whom I don't know). But their set was good, but just wish these shows would start earlier...on time would be good even. Erica and Ashley showed up but they missed The Marble Socket cause they had to get home to bed cause they worked in the am. Another Lesson Learned was pretty good, I think I'm going to pick up their CD when I see it. Blood Red Thrust had a 16 yr old singer and boy did he have some pipes on him.

October 9, 2010(The Colissee- Lewiston, Me)~The Black Label Berzerus~w/Rusty, George Black Label Society, Clutch, Children of Bodom, 2Cents[show #117] Sorry to say this wasn't my best show. 2Cents did good getting people going as I thought they would. Children of Bodom was a pretty good speed/death metal band from Finland. Clutch seemed out of place on this bill. I like them but they didn't play any of the older songs that I know and they seemed to slow the pace. Black Label was rockin' but the sound wasn't the best. The show got done way too late. Maybe I'm getting old but after 11 I'm ready to head home.

October 14, 2010(Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Me)~Halloween Hootenany: The Gruesome Twosome~w/Terry Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Murderdolls[show #118] What better way to bring in Halloween than with Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper themselves?!?! Murderdolls was good, got the place going. The singer should have played it off as a joke when he accidently said "Portland, Oregon" though. :) Alice Cooper was great! I'm glad I got to see him. Quite an entertaining show. And of course Rob Zombie is never boring. Especially when he traveled through the whole civic center with a flashlight (while J5 did a tremendously long solo, finishing with "Oh Say Can You See" played with his mouth!)and out of everyone there...Rob manages to come across some fat dude....SLEEPING out back. He had all eyes on him and he never knew till Rob started walking off and someone woke the dumb shit up. Hope that does not disgrace him too much. GREAT SHOW!!

October 16, 2010(The Station- Portland, Me)w/Todd Johnson The Marble Socket, Salvo, Shallow Path, Devine & Conquer[show #119] I was quite disappointed with The Station here. The overhead lights weren't working so I couldn't record any video or take many pics due to the only light being behind the drummer. Devine & Conquer were great. Very talented group of young guys. I didn't really care for Salvo and Shallow Path, one was too death metalish, the other too screamy. Marble did great as always but only played for about 30 min.

January 29, 2011(Cumberland County Civic Center- Portland, Me)~Music as a Weapon 5~w/Jolene Cain Korn, Disturbed, Sevendust, In This Moment[show #120] What a good show this was! In This Moment kicked it off beautifully, and by that I mean Maria Brink was looking great. That girl can scream. It's been ages since I've seen Sevendust, they're always great to see and it really brings me back to hear them. Disturbed was great as always. Loud. Powerful. Just great. And Korn, I'll never grow tired of seeing them live. Wish they woulda played more old stuff though. I saw Gary Kretchen from work, and Don Wilson also. Oh and someone passed out but I can't say who. :)

February 20, 2011(The State Theater- Portland, Me)~The Jagermeister Music Tour~w/Jolene Cain Buck Cherry, Hellyeah, All That Remains, The Damned Things[show #121] This was my first show since the State Theater opened up and what better way than with another Jager tour? :) I missed Uncle Jack (the winners of the Bone contest) because the asses put them on an hour before the show as people were just walking in. What a jip. But The Damned Things were pretty good and it was great to see the man, Scott Ian again. It's been ages. All That Remains had a great set and got the people rocking. Their bassist has some lungs on her also. One of their road crew came out and proposed to his g/f Awwwwe! :) Hellyeah kicked ass and there was no doubt about that happening. Some bands just never disappoint. And though I'm not a big Buck Cherry fan, they are a pretty good rock band, kept the place moving till the end. Good show!

July 22, 2011(The Comcast Center- Mansfield, Mass)~The Mayhem Fest~w/Jolene Cain, Meagan Speich Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeth, Trivium, Unearth, Suicide Silence[show #122] Well, I'll start off by saying I was quite disappointed from the start. I bought a ticket for my nephew, this would be his first big metal show, then he got picked to go to summer camp so I threw 70 bucks away there. It was over 100 degrees which made it uncomfortable. Our seats weren't as close as I thought they'd be. Meagan wasn't really into it. And the main reason I went was to FINALLY see Machine Head and as my luck would have it, this was the first show of the tour that they weren't on the main stage, so while I was waiting in line to go there...they were playing on the second stage. But, highlights...It's always good to see Megadeth. I respect those guys. They seem to still love the fans after all this time, and they are not so full of themselves that they complain about not headlining. One lucky fan won a WAAF contest where he got to walk on stage and take the guitar right off Dave Mustaine's body. LUCKY SHIT!! Godsmack, though I've lost interest in them over the years, really rocked. Disturbed was good as usual, but for some reason he skips certain words in his songs. Like he's singing to fast for them or something. It's beginning to bother me.

December 3, 2011(The Anderscoggin Bank Colisee, Lewiston, Maine)~Share the Welt Tour~w/Jolene Cain Five Finger Death Punch, All That Remains, Hatebreed, Rains[show #123] We almost didn't go to this show but decided on the day to go on up. It was so cold waiting in line and it wasn't that warm inside either. I hate winter! We sat next to Don Williamson and his gf. Rains was okay. It was supposed to be Rev Theory, I don't know what happened there. Hatebreed kicked ass as always. They were the main reason I wanted to go and I was not disappointed at all. All That Remains was good. The crowd always likes them. And Five Finger Death Punch were great as well. At one point the singer took about five young kids up on stage with their parents and did a song with them rocking out out back. One redheaded kid was cracking us up (simulating singing/air guitar and at one point did the robot :) ). Then during another song the singer told the security that "this is where you earn your paycheck" and told everyone to crowd serve up to the front to shake his hand. It was like a tsunami of bodies coming over the rail and the security was working overtime. It was nuts but cool to watch. The singer had to stop singing to remind everyone to keep moving and not stay there cause they are making it hard for everyone else. Good show!!

January 26, 2012(The State Theater- Portland, Maine)w/Jolene Cain Machine Head, Suicide Silence, darkest hour[show #124] This was not only the first time I ever got to see Machine Head live (they have never been to Portland and only been to Maine once), this was supposed to be the first show my friend Todd Bennett and I went to together in years. Unfortunately his work made him work late that night. However, I did get to put another show under the belt with me and Jolene, so that's always cool. The place wasn't packed at all, it was quite depressing. Hopefully Machine Head decide to try again with better supporting acts. Darkest Hour was pretty good. Suicide Silence was way to screamy, and when the singer told everyone to serve up to him for a handshake (ode to Five Finger Death Punch), the dummy walked away to sing his song while security worked overtime for nothing and barely anyone got a handshake! Machine Head rocked though. I wish they played None But My Own and Davidian (maybe they did, we left about 20 or so min early)

May 16, 2012(The Verizon Center- Manchester, NH)~Mass Chaos Tour~w/Jolene Cain Godsmack, Staind, Halestorm[show #125]

October 3, 2012(The State Theater- Portland, Maine)w/Jolene Cain, Meagan Speich, Kailie Page Anthrax, Testament, Death Angel[show #126] I almost ended up not going to this show but I am glad I did. Death Angel rocked. It was the first time I have seen them, and it is great to see bands I grew into my metal phase with still kicking. They played a very short set though and the sound in the State Theater is not so great so it was hard to hear the singing, but I did recognize "Mistress of Pain." Testament kicked ass too. They all looked great. Their sound was much the same as Death Angel but I picked up on the classics I knew. Chuck Billy had a cordless mike on a two foot post that he kept playing as a guitar. Later there was a green light inside so it kinda looked like a light saber. They played an extra long set for some reason. I think Anthrax was running a bit late. That sucked because we had to work in the morning, and the girls had school and we thought it'd be an early night. Anthrax came on at 10:15 so we did at least get to see 45 min of them, a few classics like "Among the Living", "Caught in a Mosh", and "AntiSocial", and a few newer songs. They sounded great. It was good to see them again.

February 20, 2016 (The Rochambeau Club- Biddeford, ME)w/Logan Worthley Back in Black[show #127] An AC/DC tribute band and let me tell you...they sounded EXACTLY like the original. Musically AND vocally. I'm glad I went. Logan was working, cleaning up bottles. He did a great job. I saw my ex of 21 yrs, Jen Perry there.

November 4, 2017 (The Palladium- Worcester, MA)w/Nick Higgins Arch Enemy, Trivium, While She Sleeps, Fit for an Autopsy[show #128] Been off the concert kick for some time now but this was a good one to come back to. A surprise invite by an old former classmate took me back to Worcester. I have no complaints over any of the bands, they were all great. Fit for an Autopsy reminded me of Hatebreed. While She Sleeps had a lot of energy and I loved how they put the security to work by asking everyone to crowd surf up to the stage (on that note, security was on point that night. I don't say that often, but these guys were great--and I have seen some assholes in my day). Trivium was obviously a fan favorite due to their New England ties, and we nearly got sucked into the moshpit. And the beautiful Alissa White-Gluz and her powerful vocals were perfect over the band's stomping beats and melodic riffs.

April 18, 2018 (The Aura- Portland, Maine)~AmeriKKKant Tour~ Ministry, Chelsea Wolfe, The God Bombs[show #129] My first concert going by myself and though I almost talked myself out of it, I'm glad I didn't. I finally got to see Ministry and boy did they deliver. From the moment Al Jorgensen belted out the first few lyrics, I knew it was going to rock. To make it even more memorable, the band was truly an all-star lineup, with DJ Swamp of The Crystal Method and Beck, Joey Jordison of Slipknot, Tony Campos and Burton C. Bell (GOD, IT WAS AWESOME TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!) of Fear Factory, it just added to the awesomeness. The show opened with The God Bombs from NY. I kind of felt like they were a heavier version of Orgy without the glam look. I liked them. Had they gone on later, I think the crowd would have been moving. Then Chelsea Wolfe came out in her platform heal boots, with their slow and crunchy riffs underlying her soft, melodic vocals, you couldn't help but just stare and enjoy the show. My first time at Aura (formerly the Asylum) since it opened. It was nice. Small. I think they should move the sound equipment out back and expand the floor to allow bigger talent in. but overall, the acoustics were great!

May 11, 2018 (The Aura- Portland, Maine) Jonathan Davis, Palisades, Mammothor[show #130] The lead singer of Mammothor reminded me of Eric Christian Olsen, only muscular, but he had some pipes on him and a friendly stage attitude, which I liked although it wasn't my kind of music. Palisades were pretty cool, almost reminded me of All That Remains, but not as heavy. A couple of the guys looked like GQ models. Jonathan's set was great. A lot mellower than Korn but some heavy riffs and vocals throne in. It was awesome to see him play some of the tracks from Queen of the Damned again. Finally! And it's always great to see his smile. How he loves being up there for his fans. And having Korn drummer, Ray Luzier join the tour was a smart move. Ray is AMAZING! Watching him flip his stick and catch it between beats was mesmerizing.

May 25, 2018 (Harvard Sports Complext- Cambridge, MA)~The Boston Calling: Day 1w/Logan Worthley The Killers, Paramore, Portugal-the Man, Pussy Riot, Noname, Perfume Genius[show #131] 85 degrees on the first day but the promoters did a great job having plenty of vendors available so we were able to keep hydrated and fed. And with the RFID bracelets, it moved things along perfectly. There were 3 stages in all, 2 on the east side of the complex, 1 on the west. It might have sucked if I knew all the bands but I didn't so it just required a bit more exercise to see the bands we wanted. I was so impressed with this first day. Pussy Riot were a good electronica group with odd songs like Bad Apples. They wore fluorescent ski masks and were very political, which basically means anti-government. Portugal, the Man fit perfectly for this type of show. Paramore put on a great rock show with Hayley Williams still rockin' it. And The Killers absolutely astonished me with a GREAT performance. Exactly what a rock show should be. People singing and dancing along. THOUSANDS of people. And the band even pulled a fan up on stage to play drums for a song. Awesome!

May 26, 2018 (Harvard Sports Complex- Cambridge, MA)~The Boston Calling: Day 2~w/Logan Worthley Jack White, Tyler-the Creator, Queens of the Stone Age, St. Vincent, Brockhampton, Manchester Orchestra, Belly[show #132] 90 degrees on day 2. It was so hot that we took refuge for about an hour in the Arena so we can watch a taping of Natalie Portman's podcast. Basically it was her and 3 others, along with a full hockey arena of liberals making fun of the Trump family and not offering a shred of insight into what should be done to make America better. Aside from that, Queens of the Stone Age and Brockhampton were the big hits today. QotSA were the perfect rock show addition and Brockhampton I was surprised I was so into.

May 27, 2018 (Harvard Sports Complext- Cambridge, MA)~The Boston Calling: Day 3w/Logan Worthley Eminem, Khalid, Mike D, Pond[show #133] Typical for New England, day 3 dropped down to 52 degrees with rain. This time we took refuge in the Arena to stay comfortable and save our energy for the headliner. There we caught a comedy show with Martin Urbano, Max Silvestri, Cameron Esposito (who was heckled for speaking politically instead of doing comedy), and headliner, David Cross (Alvin and the Chipmunks, Year One). It was cool seeing Mike D of Beastie Boys doing some mixing on the big stage. Eminem by far was the highlight with guests like the beautiful Skylar Grey lending her vocals to all female parts (Stan, Monster, etc.) and Royce da 5'9". Can't believe it had been 18 years since I've seen Em.

July 27, 2018 (Darling's Waterfront Pavilion- Bangor, ME)~Impact Music Festival: Day 1w/Logan Worthley Slayer, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Testament, Napalm Death[show #134] Slayer's final tour and it was phenomenal! I sure will miss them, but they deserve retirement. Never thought I'd cry at a Slayer concert, but when Tom Araya's paced the stage at the end, just taking it all in, and finally his voice cracked as he said goodbye...I couldn't take it. Testament and Anthrax were great of course. Anthrax came out playing the beginning of Cowboys from Hell in honor of newly deceased (may he rest in peace \m/) Vinnie Paul. And they ended their set playing the end of Cowboy's. It was great. Lamb of God was awesome. Napalm Death is not really my type of death metal, but they were good. Didn't expect the singer to be English. :)

July 28, 2018 (Darling's Waterfront Pavilion- Bangor, ME)~Impact Music Festival: Day 2w/Logan Worthley Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Black Label Society, Gojira, Trivium, Hollywood Undead, Corrosion of Conformity, Powerman 5000, Emmure[show #135] The main thing that ticked me off about the venue is that they had a gated section for 21+, which is usually fine, only here, on the 2 second stages, they actually gated off 1 of the stages, so because I was with my nephew, we couldn't even go up close to the stage for the bands we wanted to see over there. Idiotic! Aside from that, Powerman 5000 was good, still very much full of energy. They deserve to be on the main stage--I don't know where their fame went. Hollywood Undead was really good, too. Emmure, as well. Kind of a heavy rap type band. On the main stage (we decided to upgrade our tickets from Lawn to Pit for only $20 more, and it at least got us out of the sun most of the time. C.O.C was good, and I spotted Zakk Wylde on the side of the stage watching the show. Trivium and Gojira got the crowd pumped. Trivium are a good live band. BLS was great. Zakk played a long solo with his guitar on his shoulder, behind his head. Came down and played most of it between the center divider, finishing on stage using his mouth. Avenged Sevenfold were supposed to be headlining, but the singer got sick. Prophets of Rage backed out because they were touring with AS. But...Three Days Grace decided to make the trip so that was cool of them, they were cool. Chevelle took AS's place and they've played better shows. It was a little disappointing. They didn't seem to have the crunch they used to have.

July 29, 2018 (Darling's Waterfront Pavilion- Bangor, ME)~Impact Music Festival: Day 3w/Logan Worthley Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Underoath, Of Mice & Men, P.O.D, Baroness, We Came As Romans[show #136] Rob Zombie kicked ass as usual. John 5 also played a long solo, finishing with his mouth-The Star Spangled Banner. Manson came out to sing a duo of Helter Skelter, by The Beatles. We were so close to the front that we could almost touch Rob when he stood on the guard rail. Manson was also great. I expected him to be kind of a dick, but he was really cool and having a good time. At one point, shot a wad of real $100 bills into the crowd. I didn't get any. I didn't think I'd care for P.O.D, but they were real good, amping up the crowd and getting the mosh pits going along with endless waves of crowd surfers. We Came As Romans were good-sadly, Kyle Pavone, the lead singer, died of an accidental drug overdose a month later on August 25-RIP. The other bands were good, but forgettable. Maybe if I see them again.

July 5, 2019 (Wally's Pub- Hampton, NH)~Wisconson Death Trip 20th Anniversary Tour~ Static X, Devildriver, Dope, Wednesday 13, Raven Black[show #137] It was great to see the original lineup from Wisconsin Death Trip on the stage again. Minus Wayne, of course, as he sadly passed away some years ago. Rumors were that Edsel from Dope played double duty during the tour, donning an evil Wayne mask. I think Wayne would have been proud. They were great. Been almost 10 yrs since a Static X show, probably be the last. First time seeing Devildriver. They were (yes, I'm going to say it) too loud. It was difficult to even hear them. But it was cool that they played Loco, of Coal Chamber fame, and surprising to see how many people knew it. Dope played a great set. Wednesday 13, too. They were a Halloween-type band. Like Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. I liked them. Raven Black seemed good, but I only got to catch 1 song. I met up with Paul and Charity Catruch from work though. It was so hot there. 90 degrees outside, and no ventilation inside the place. I don't think I'll go to another summer show at Wally's. I almost left early just to keep from passing out.

August 10, 2019 (Maine Savings Pavilion- Westbrook, ME)w/Logan Alice Cooper, Halestorm, Motionless in White[show #138] My first time at the new Maine Savings Pavilion. Hopefully they improve a little while they build Rock Row. The center music box was obstructing half the stage so I hopped online and purchased closer tickets. Shouldn't have to do that but I won't fall for that twice. Other than that, the sound was superb and there was virtually no waiting between bands, other than the initial setup. Motionless in White was a great opener. Reminded me of the God Bombs a little. Halestorm is just a great rock band. Much rather be seeing them live than listing on the radio. And it was great to see Alice Cooper for a 2nd time. I swear the guy isn't aging.

February 2, 2023 (Cross Insurance Arena, Portland ME) Anthrax (4), Black Label Society (4), Exodus (1), Trawl (1)[show #139] Been far too long out of the scene since covid but this was much deserved. Trawl is a local band and they were real good. I'll be purchasing their music soon. This was my first time seeing Exodus and they rocked the shit and sounded great. BLS always rocks and I really enjoy seeing the love and respect Zakk gives to his band. Even had a lead battle with his guitarist, which was amazing. And he always remembers to show Dime love. And Anthrax, so amazing to see a thrash band gain this kind of following after 40+ years. And they still love to do it. Love these guys!

June 15, 2023 (Tupelo Music Hall, Derry, NH)Steven Ballum, George Greene, Tabitha Bowen Faster Pussycat (1), Jason Charles Miller Band (1)[show #140] Well, I finally get to scratch a long time favorite of my list. It's a shame I never got to see Faster Pussycat during the hay day but at least I saw them. I still really enjoyed the show. I just wish it was a longer set. It was done by 9:30. The Jason Charles band sounded like a southern rock band and even did a song for True Blood. I really liked them as well. First time at Tupelo and the only con was the early closing, but the sound was great and the food was even better. But the drinks could stand to be a bit stronger. Oh, and I saw my ol' coworkers, Paul and Charity there too.

July 29, 2023 (Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH)w/Logan Worthley Hollywood Vampires (1), Barry Goudreau's Engine Room (1)[show #141]What an amazing show this was. Beginning with Barry Goudreau of the band, Boston. They were real good. Definitely played some old Boston tunes we recognized. We were up in the Samuel Addams VIP section for them so we could get some food and drinks. Then we went to our floor seats for Hollywood Vampires. Alice Cooper always has such a good stage presence and attitude. I think I was most excited to see Joe Perry of Aerosmith do his thing. He even sang a song. At one point he played Jeff Beck's guitar in his honor. And of course, the legend himself, Mr. Johnny Depp. He sang "People Who Died" by Jimmy Carroll, and "Heroes" by David Bowie. Such a great show!

August 18, 2023 (Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, Gilford, NH)~The Dark Horizon Tour~w/Christina Sobleski In This Moment (3), Motionless In White (2), Fit for a King (1), From Ashes To New (1), Above Snakes (1)[show #142] Been awhile since I've been to this venue. I was disappointed having to sit in the seats but I did get the tix for $25 each from Live Nation's all in deal. From Ashes to New was ok, but not really my thing. We were away from our seats and getting some food. Fit for a King was good, heavy. Motionless was really good. I really like them as a band. In This Moment for some odd reason only played 5 songs so that was disappointing. I don't know how they were running over. I didn't feel like we lost time anywhere. But the theatrics and presence were great. Above Snakes were playing on the way out at some small patch probably for local bands. They had potential. The band needs to work on their vocals though.

September 8, 2023 (Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, Gilford, NH)w/Logan Worthley Pantera (4), Lamb of God (4), King Parrot (1), Carnivora (1)[show #143] Oh, man! I never thought I'd be able to see Pantera on stage again. With Phil and Rex the only surviving members (RIP Dimebag and Vinnie!!), it was more than okay to get Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante to fill the roles. It was a great show and great time. I so wish I could have been in the pits for this one. Lamb of God put on a great show as well, as they always do. King Parrot had some good music but I just wasn't digging the vocals. Too screechy for my taste. Could have been good with lower vocals, like Hatebreed. Carnivora was that band playing on the side as we walked in, and again on the way out. Female singer with some heavy pipes. They were pretty good. George and Tabitha were at the show, and apparently lots of people from work were there. Can't wait to see Pantera again.

November 10, 2023 (The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton, NH)w/Colie Tanguay Lita Ford (1), Gary Hoey (1)[show #144] First time I finally get to see Lita Ford! She still has her voice. The only down was they overextended an instrumental/collaboration with Gary Hoey on the song Back to the Cave. It was just too long and people started sitting down or they left early. Bobby Rock had a killer drum solo, so the two going back to back was just too long for people who wanted to dance around and sing to their favorite songs. Patrick Kennison, the guitarist (formerly of The Union Underground) sang the Ozzy portion of Close My Eyes Forever and he did great. He's a good singer. If the whole show had the same energy that came out of Kiss Me Deadly, it would have been a wild ride. Still glad to see them. I never heard of Gary Hoey but he's an amazing guitarist. His son too, who joined them for a song or two.

March 12, 2024 (Cross Insurance Arena, Portland, Maine)Solo Dropkick Murphys (1), Pennywise (1), The Scratch (1)[show #145] A night of firsts for me. First time seeing Dropkick Murphys and they did not disappoint. The whole show was just a very positive atmosphere. Coincidentally the last time I was in show with such positive vibes was another Boston band, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, back in the 90s I believe. Pennywise was great to finally see. So weird seeing bands I knew when they were kids, and they are all men now. They did a cover of Fight for Your Right to Party by The Beastie Boys. The opening band was straight from Dublin, Ireland, called The Scratch and they put on a great show. Not sure what kind of drum kit they had but it looked like he was just hitting two mics to a speaker. And when the bass hit, hoooooly, you could feel it through your gut. Great show!

April 26, 2024 (MGM Music Hall, Boston, MA)~The Invincible Sheild Tour~Christina Sobleski Judas Priest (1), Sabaton (1)[show #146] Finally got to see The Priest! This was a real good show. Loved the lights and video in the back ground. Really a good old fashioned heavy metal show. Sabaton was great too. The were almost like a heavy Viking type band like Amon Amarth only with more distinct vocals. They are from Sweden. It was my very first show at the MGM and I loved the place. Large floor and all the seats are balcony but it doesn't look like any of them are bad seats at all. Plenty of bars around but I think they should incorporate more food. Although I recommend trying to eat beforehand. Cost me $44 after tip for 1 whiskey on the rocks, bag of popcorn, and a box of M&Ms. I was glad when the drummer mention other shows they did and everyone booed, but when he mentioned Bangor, there were many cheers so I had some brothers and sister there. Great show though!

August 2, 2024 (Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA)~M72 World Tour Day 1~Logan Worthley Metallica (3), Pantera (5)[show #147] My Nephew, Logan, and I had to drive from home to the hotel in Needham then to the show and stupid me didn't count on the traffic being THAT bad for so long (took us 1.5 hours to travel the 24 min drive from out hotel. Because of that, we missed Mammoth WVH unfortunately. However, Pantera rocked as usual and Metallica still kick ASS after all these years. What a great set. Luckily the show was at nightfall as it was 90 degrees that day. Oh, and after playing Orion, James Hetfield tossed his pick at the crowd towards where I was and while a bunch of grown "boys" fought over it, Logan bent down and picked it up. So he got a used pick played during a set. Awesome! Good for him!

August 4, 2024 (Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA)~M72 World Tour Day 2~Logan Worthley Metallica (4), Five Finger Death Punch (3)[show #148] Luck was not exactly on my side this weekend. This night I made sure to be here nice and early so I don't miss Ice Nine Kills and I tailgated with my high school buddy, Mike Phillips for a bit. It started pouring as we headed to the venue so we went in soaked. Then when there were threats of thunder/lightening, the whole field and stands had to be evacuated and we had to wait out the storm inside. After a while, it began to look like the show might be cancelled and we heard that the state extended the 11pm curfew for Gillette to an extra half hour. As it turned out, we were able to go on with the show at 8pm rather than the 6pm start time. Unfortunately, Ice Nine Kills had to be axed and 5FDP had a shortened set. Though short, they still did an amazing job pumping up the crowd and kept the experience very positive. They sure know how to work a crowd. Then Metallica came out to play the second of their "No Repeat Weekend" and completely blew our minds. Such a good band. I'll always love these guys. Love the theatrics and pyrotechnics that went along with "One". Still an A+ show!!!

September 14, 2024 (Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton Beach, NH)~Seasons~Logan Worthley, Jennifer Lee Sevendust (10), 10 Years (3), Return to Dust (1), Horizon Theory (1)[show #149] Although I've seen Sevendust about 8 or 9 times, I think it's been since 2011 since I last seen them. And they haven't lost it one bit. Most of the night was a bunch of standing around but when song 2, Enemy, hit...I was sucked into an old fashioned mosh pit that I hadn't been in in quite some time. Good show. 10 Years was great also. The singer pointed out a girl in the front and told us that 14 years ago her mother was pregnant with her at a Sevendust/10 Years show in Hampton and that singer rubbed her belly. That's pretty awesome. Return to Dust were great. They gave my nephew a drumstick at the merch table, autographed his and Jen's hoodies, and posed for a photo. Pretty cool. Horizon Theory were great also. All around great show. Never a doubt.

September 21, 2024 (Xfinity Center, Mansfield, MA)~30th Anniversary~Logan Worthley Korn (20), Gojira (2), Spiritbox (1)[show #150] It's been a minute since I've seen Korn and these guys just never disappoint. The show was rockin' and we had surprisingly good seats in section 3 about 5 rows back. I think it was my first time seeing Brian since he rejoined the band. Turns out that Fieldy is on an indefinite hiatus while he sorts his life out. Filling in for him was Robert "Ra" Diaz of Suicidal Tendencies and he was phenomenal! Gojira put on a great show. Loved the lighting effects. I've never heard Spiritbox before but now I'm a fan. She's got quite the pipes on her and she can sing as well. I'm interested to see where they go in the future. Another rainy show so I feel for the people outside the roof, but that's why I never buy tickets that far out. All around great show though.

September 26, 2024 (The State Theatre, Portland, ME)~30th Anniversary~Solo Hatebreed (6), Carcass (1), Harms Way (1), Umbra Vitae (1), Crypta (1)[show #151] Show 151. I still can’t believe Hatebreed has been around for 30 years already and still an amazing show full of raw energy. The floor was just insane throughout all five bands. There were even girls and a couple young boys in those pits. It was great to see Carcass finally. And I really liked Crypto, an all female death metal group from Brazil. Great show.

October 11, 2024 (The Palladium, Worcester, MA)~Celebrating Life Through Death: North American Farewell Tour~Logan Worthley Sepultura (3), Obituary (1), Agnostic Front (1), Claustrofobia (1), Harvest (1)[show #152] Great Show!! My first time seeing Obituary and their guitar is just as crunchy as on the albums. Loved it. Sepultura rocked as always. And Claustrofobia was a new favorite. Met the band after and they were great. My nephew Logan got a signed drum head and stick and a photo with the band I took and will post. Harvest was great as well. All around good show and Logan did his first crowd surf and loved it. He's in the club now!

November 6, 2024 (DCU Center, Worcester, MA)~Days of Futures Past World Tour~Logan Worthley Iron Maiden (1), The Hu (1)[show #153] And finally got to see a bucket list band. Good show, good set. And Worcester men don't like it when people squeeze through the crowd lol. The Hu were interesting. I loved their bass guitars. 2 strings and played with a bow. Pretty neat.

November 21, 2024 (The Palladium, Worcester, MA)~The Battle of '24~Logan Worthley Exodus (2), Havok (1), Candy (1), Dead Heat (1)[show #154] this was my first time being at the Palladium upstairs and had no idea how small that area was. I was right up front during the whole thing and during exodus we were so squished that I practically had to catch stage divers with my face. I just couldn’t lift my arms over my head. But all bands rocked. It was a pretty heavy show from the start to finish.

May 4, 2025 (Gillette Stadium-Foxborough, MA)~PWR/UP TOUR~Logan Worthley, George Worthley, Laurina Laverriere AC/DC, (1), The Pretty Reckless (1)[show #155] Another bucket list band. I was so glad to finally see AC/DC and what a great rock show! Not only that, it was a Christmas gift for my dad who has been wanting to see them forever and has never even been to a concert. I guess it wouldn't be a Gillette show without a little rain huh? The Pretty Reckless were great. Taylor has that rock goddess sound for sure and it amazes me that she can even talk afterwards. Great show. So glad we got to do this!

June 11, 2025 (Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton Beach, NH)~Machines vs. Monsters Tour~Logan Worthley Static-X (9), Gwar (3), Dope (4), A Killers Confession (1) [show #156] I'll never grow tired of a Static-X show! The energy is through the roof from beginning to end. And I'm so glad they are keeping the late great Wayne Static's memory alive. We all miss him. Gwar was great but we (and I'm talking the crowd here, too) were a little upset that the venue didn't allow Gwar to make a mess. We were hoping to go home looking like we'd been to a Gwar show. Dope was good and I realize now that I'd never seen Dope outside of a Static-X show (and I guess now I never will--IYKYK). And this was my first time seeing A Killer's Confession and I learned they were members of MushroomHead. I'm a new fan. All around, another great show!

June 13, 2025 (The State Theatre - Portland, ME)~Full Ahead Flank MMXXV Tour~ Clutch (6), Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown (1), Nate Bergren (1) [show #157] If you like good ol' fashioned Guitar Rock, then a Clutch show is for you. They never let you down. And they don't waste time talking either lol. I always liked and respected the majority of the "metal" crowds. Even though Nate B was a single act, you might think people would boo him off like a pop or rap crowd would, but no...he was well respected and the growd never got too anxious to move on. He was good too of course. Much better with a band behind him though. And Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown were real good also. Looked like a younger group loving what they do. This is why I never skip the opening acts. You never know when you'll find some new interests or favorites.

June 25, 2025 (MGM - Boston, MA)~2025 World Tour~w/Logan Worthley, Jennifer Lee Babymetal (1), Black Veil Brides (1), Bloodywood (1) [show #158] It's not very often I'll say a show was generally bad, but very rarely do I ever walk out thinking what an all around amazing show it was either. This was the latter. Man, all 3 were a prime performance. And all first (but definitely not lasts) for me. Bloodywood, from India, didn't have to do much before getting this crowd completely pumped. They were heavy with their thumping beats constantly from beginning to end. I was instantly a fan. Black Veil Brides I've never gotten to see but I'm glad I did. In The End is just a perfect song for the stage. And Babymetal, of course, was just mesmerizing to watch. So glad I went to this.

July 10, 2025 (Aura - Portland, ME)~The Taste of Armageddon Tour 2025~ Powerman 5000 (8), Ill Nino (2), Hed PE (5), Priest (1), Lone Wolf James (1) [show #159] I feel like I've been seeing Powerman frequently since 2000 but oddly it's only been 8 times. And years in between. They always put on a great show though. Still hopping and you can't help but move with the music. Them and HED PE were the main reason for coming to this and HED performed great as always. Only my 2nd time seeing Ill Nino but they were full of energy as well. And a new singer that fit in perfectly. Priest had former members of Ghost so I was expecting something like that, but they sounded more like a less heavy version of electronica favorite KMFDM. Lone Wolf James were good. I would say they seemed like an older rock band. Nothing new...but they were good. I think 5 bands were too many though as it seemed each set had to rush...but never any rushing in between (is there ever?).

August 29, 2025 (TD Garden - Boston, MA)~Peel It Back Tour~w/Christina Sobleski Nine Inch Nails (3), Boyz Noize (1) [show #160] I'm not sure why I've only seen NIN 3 times since '94 but I have to believe it's because they come to places like TD Garden. The Garden is great, don't get me wrong...but leaving Boston after is ridiculous. That being said...NIN put on a great show. Mostly just playing and no wasting time talking. Loved it. I wish I could get closer than the balcony though. Boyz Noize was good but the whole techno thing gets exhausting after a few songs.

October 4, 2025 (Wally's - Hampton Beach, NH)~30 Years of Ugly~ Life Of Agony (6), Jasta (1), Scotty Saints (1) [show #161] Well this was an interesting show. First, I had no idea Keith was back. I knew he regretted the transformation but didn't know he went back. Second, I didn't know he became such a diva either. He took a couple minutes between songs to nag on the side security about paying attention to crowd surfers. Ok. But then he seemed to focus too much on what was going on on the side after that. Wally's switched out security. Second, some jackass got his head split open in the pit. I say jackass only because this guy was roughing up people all night, almost got in a fight beside me, and it didn't surprise me that he wound up on the floor. They stopped the show, and Keith was bitching at security about calling paramedics (like...how does he know they didn't?) and when they finally snapped back at him to shut up, Keith said cut and ended it right there. He said it was their last song anyway, but I know they had 2 more coming. Very disappointing. They put on a great show up to then though. On a lighter note, Jasta was great. I loved that he specifically asked if anyone from Maine was at the show and when I raised my arms he pointed at me and said "welcome all you Maineiacs" and hopes he can play Bangor, Lewiston, or Portland next year. I also got Nick Petrino's signature guitar pick. The opening act, Scotty Saints from Portland Maine were also great. Now if Wally's would just invest in some fans to circulate the air.

November 8, 2025 (Cross Insurance Arena - Portland, ME)~Struck Dead Tour~ Trivium (4), JinJer (1), Heriot (1) [show #162] Christina bought these tickets as a thank you for NIN but due to a migraine, I was on my own here. First time seeing Heriot and there was definitely a fanbase here. A large pit, maybe too large for the amount of people partaking, opened up. Heavy band and their female singer could belt out those licks. I was supposed to see Jinjer with Pantera earlier this year but since it was cancelled due to Ozzy's untimely passing, I was glad to see them here. Another female singer but she would go from a nice melodic and clean voice to hitting those high pitched screeches. Enjoyed them too. And Trivium is always so full of energy. It's always a good time when they hit the stage.
