I SMILED AGAIN
The tears flow softly down my cheek
Is this a sign of being weak
No one knows the hurting of my heart
Where do I begin, oh, where do I start
I feel this so often day after day
Wishing it all would just go away
Do I dare enter this room once again
Where my happiness ended in pain
To give away what's left of my heart
To take a chance and have you part
Being alone was not for me
Come in Angel, the drinks are free
But wait, is that laughter I hear
A smile peaking through a tear
To good friends and happiness
You have all gave to me joyous bliss
I look forward to a familiar face
When Lisa becomes Angel in her safe place
My days are long, dark and lonely,
I close my eyes and think, if only.
With these thoughts lingering on my mind,
I thank the sky above for my great find.
A feeling of love has snuck it's way in,
I often wonder where it has been.
It has been buried so deep, for so long,
But now my love is flowing like a song.
You showed me that there will be tomorrows,
Days that aren't filled up with sorrows.
I will keep smiling now and until the end,
You have shown how to feel love once again.
Take me away to a secret place,
Just you and I can share,
To touch my hand to your face,
And to show you how I care.
I want to look deep in your eyes,
To be forever in your embrace,
To never have to say good byes,
Alone in our own little space.
Holding each other, oh so tight,
Our lips meeting for a loving kiss,
Waking by the morning light,
Never getting enough of our togetherness.
One day this time of ours will be,
Testing my patience is the hardest part,
All our love is what I want to see,
I count the days for this all to start.
