The Happiest Page on Earth


The entrance to the Skyway, removed from Disneyland in 1994. :( But this building is still there! To see it, start walking towards Frontierland, passing Dumbo on your right and King Arthur's Carousel on your left. Continue, looking up and to your right, and you'll see it. Granted, the paint is now fading and the words "Up above the world so high/Like teacup in the sky" can hardly be seen, but it's still there, gosh darn it!:) Click on the pic to reminisce about the ride...

Welcome to my Disneyland page! I absolutely adore this place. Among my numerous favorite rides is Space Mountain. To listen to the complete soundtrack from the ride, click here.
Just imagine: as the slow music starts, you're on level track. You see thin white lights streak by and and disappear. Galaxies twirl in the distance as stars around them shine brightly. As the march begins, you climb a steep hill, with a red light at the top. You level out temporarily, and you can see the stars shine brilliantly. As soon as the man announces ignition, the ride speeds up and you're gone!

How to Avoid the Lines

FYI, if you want to ride Indiana Jones, or any other popular ride, arrive at Disneyland before 8:00. Between 8:00 and 9:00 is the best time to go on rides, because the lines are incredibly short, if not nonexistent. Also, the earlier weekdays (eg, Monday-Wednesday) have fewer people than other days, especially in the morning. Or, if you're a morning person, dig yourself out of bed for the Magic Morning deal, where you get into the park an hour early, and they open up a selection of quality rides just for you and a few hundred others. These usually include Star Tours, Indiana Jones, and Space Mountain.
