Dianne's Place

I happen to be lucky enough to live in the best country in the world. Australia is a land of contrasts. In some areas it is so hot, you cannot be out in the sun in the middle of the day for more than 10 minutes, while in other parts of the country you need to wear an overcoat almost all year round. We have beautiful rainforests as well as harsh desert. We have areas where it rains almost every day and other places that experience droughts which can last for years. We have large cosmopolitan cities and quiet country villages which you can drive through in the blink of an eye. We are a multicultural country, with people from all parts of the world calling Australia home. You can walk down the street and pass a Mexican restaurant, next to a Chinese restaurant, next to a Turkish restaurant, with an Italian restaurant across the road, and a good old Aussie hamburger shop just a bit further along.
