Falling

              Falling,
                        In the dream  I'm always falling;
                          A raving invalid screaming so loud
                          that no one can hear me.
                          My betrayer forever voicing her
                          Sardonic laughter as the word
                            is inscribed in my heart.
                        The word is "Fool"  I know this
                            only now that I see the reflection
                            of my face as I'm lowered in the
                            sepulchral water which is now my home.
                          Ever the fool,  drowning in stupidity
                            that I mistook for trust,
                            ever the fool, never again........
