"It's been a long time since I've posted.  What's new?   Well, incase you missed the logo, I'm in the process of putting a band together.  I'm calling it The B-List Celebrities.

This will be a real rock and roll band.  Remember those?  I've been working in the studio for a while on some material I'm digging right now ; namely 'Absolution', 'What are You Doing', and 'Villainous'.  I'm recording two versions of 'Absolution' - the original heavy/produced version and a more polished rendering of the acoustic version that was floating around last year.  'Villainous' is a new track that's shaping up to be a cool psychological thriller in the vein of 'Fix The Crush'.

Speaking of 'Fix the Crush', that may finally end up getting recorded.  I've got old demos of 'Gone Away' and 'Bermuda Triangle' laying around so if I cut a cover to boot, maybe there will be two four song disks available once The B-List Celebrities get rolling.  I've got my fingers crossed for November.  Here's hoping.

No more acoustic shows for a while or at least I'm not actively booking.  After the Midtown gig, there was talk of me doing some Sunday night acoustic sets in the fall.  I loved playing at Midtown so I'm hoping that happens.  I've been having a lot of fun doing the acoustic sets, but, until TBLC are established, I can't really think of doing anything else.

Don't get me wrong; I enjoy the acoustic sets, but I'm itching hard to get fucking LOUD again.  Playing the guitar is cool, but I want to play my bass.  It just feels more natural to me.  Or maybe it's just that I want to do EVERYTHING.  Or maybe it's A.D.D.  Hard telling.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.  To anyone who forgot, don't sweat it; I pretty much did too.  It's just another day.  I suppose that's it for now."

"It was nice to be back on stage at The Living Room's singer/songwriter showcase last night.  I love that place!  There were more participants this time than last month and there was some interesting stuff going on.  I feel like there is definitely a scene kicking up here for singer songwriters and it's exciting to watch it happen. Thanks very much to The Living Room for giving us a platform to do our thing on!  The next one is May 5th.  See you there!"

"The shows are going great so far!  The gig at Bongos' was a nice introduction to what it's like to be the only one on stage - a DEFINITE learning experience.  It was my first full length set as a singer/songwriter and, to be honest, I wasn't 100% sure I was ready for it even as I took the stage.  If not for the fact that most of the faces looking back at me were friends it might have been overwhelming."

" I'd gotten so used to being 'just the bass player' - this is a whole other thing, but now I have no doubt I can do it.   Thanks to all of you who came out to support me.  I can't tell you how much it meant to have you there.  To those of you who couldn't make it: you were missed.  We'll save you a seat at the next one."
