He'd suspected for months now, but had willed himself to not confront what he'd feared most. Fuller glanced at the couple as he stood at the top of the stairs of the courthouse. Hanson looked defiant but proud as his gaze settled firmly on that of his commanding officer. He was clearly proud to be with Hoffs and unafraid to let others see that they were together. Hoffs looked a little nervous, and Fuller knew that this was because she respected his opinion deeply as he did hers. Disapointing him was not something Hoffs did willingly. Still, her hands rested securely around Hanson, unflinching in her choice. It was clear that two of his officers had fallen in love. Departmental procedure dictated what he must do next. Yet, as he approached the two, he held hope that the aura of love that radiated from Hoffs and Hanson would remain strong once they'd be reassigned.
