His death certificate states he died 29 October 1874 in Apple Creek Twp. of Pulmonary Tuberculosis aged 72 years, 3 months and 11 days(certificate in possession of Gayle Friedrich). So he was born sometime between July and September of 1802." -Summer Owens

2 "August's oldest son William was born in September of 1826 so August and Caroline we're married sometime before then. August traveled from Bremen Germany with his wife and first few children aboard the ship "Phoenix" under Captain Buttman and arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana on 30 December 1834. The passenger manifest is in possession of Gayle Friedrich. It states that August Jr. was born at sea" -Summer Owens

3 "Nora Caroline Cougson is often referred to as Nora Carolina Rader. However the death certificate of her son Henry Christian Friese lists her name and surname. It is very difficult to read but it is certainly not Rader. The best I could decipher was Cougson."

10 Conrad is buried on the Virgil Friese Farm, of Sedgwickville, Bollinger Co., Missouri.
"On his monument it says, "Died March 14, 1869-Aged 2 years, 7 months, 4 days. Something is terribly wrong, or the monument, since it has been broken, does not show the correct number of years. Could the three not be seen? It would then be 32 years, 7 months, 4 days, so the months and days are correct. Also, since we can read the death date, if we calculate the birth as shown on the monument, he would be born in 1866 and this is many years after the other children. Some feel he was born August 13, 1847.
Probate records-3-29-1869-William Friese, Adm.-Sarah, widow-children were Louisa-9, Elizabeth-7, Mina-3, and Barbara-1 year, 3 months." -Gayle Friedrich
