History: While investigating the murder of his father, Terry McGinnis sought the help of elderly Bruce Wayne, whom Terry had discovered was the original Batman. Although wayne strictly forbade terry to assume the identity of Batman, the former crime-fighter relented after "Terry" borrowed the supercharged batsuit and used it to bring retribution to his father's killers, Derek Powers and Mr. Fixx.

Having proven himself a worthy inheritor of the name Batman, Terry continues to act as Gotham's dark avenger.
