THE KIDS 4H CLUB

The Kids 4H Club is located in Laurel, MD. We gather once a month for meetings. During our meetings we talk about finances, events, and other important topics. After the meeting, the members do a craft or activity that could be entered in the Howard County Fair. The annual fair is at the beginning of August where 4H members gather to compete to win prizes.

OUR JOBS

In the Kids 4H Club, there are different jobs in which the members fulfill. We have 2 Presidents (in charge of the meeting), 1 Vice President (Leads the club in the pledge and takes the presidents spot if they cannot fulfill their duties), 1 Secretary (Takes notes on the meetings), 2 Treasurers (Announces the club's bills), 1 Communicator (calls the members to remind them of the next meeting and things to bring), and 1 Seargent at Arms (Helps out the adult leaders)

OUR LEADERS

There are three adult leaders in our club. Their names are Mrs. Rennenkampf, Mrs. Jordan, and Mrs. Jones. The adult leaders are in charge of the money, location, and members of the club. These three people do a lot for our club and we appreciate it.

There are also many Parent Volunteers. At least one Parent Volunteer comes to each meeting to help with organization. Many of the Parents also are a leader of an individual category such as crafts, woodworking, sewing, bicycles, and cooking.

THE 4H PLEDGE

4H has a national 4H pledge and our club recites it in the beginning of each metting. It goes like this:

I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living. For my club, my community, my country, and my world.

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources' programs are open to all citizens without regard to race, color, gender, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, or national religion.
