though, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself and how I got started doing this.
About 12 years ago I found a cute little appliqué in a fabric store that I could use on
a sweat suit for my first granddaughter, Amber. I bought it, took it home and put
it on a sweat suit. I then proceeded to embellish the appliqués with 3-D paint.
I was real pleased with how it turned out and decided to show it to my best friend.
She immediately wanted me to make one for her first grandson, Colin, so I did.
I gave it to her at lunchtime one day at work. When she returned to her office,
she took the suit inside to show her co-workers.
Well! within 2 hours I had
orders for 3 more suits! It just started to snowball after that and I decided,
with a little encouragement from my friends and family, to take my creations to craft
shows. I did very well and was delighted that the items were so popular.
I really loved making these little things for toddlers and decided to make some for adults,
as well.
As they say, the rest is history. So, here I am. I’m just an ordinary woman, with 2 kids and 2 grand
kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 ex-husbands! I seem to like to do things in 2’s!
