Thirteen Torso Methods 2,

 

 

1) Coccyx Point

a- Coccyx should be held inward to center chi

b- Coccyx should be aligned with the center of gravity

c- A conscious task , maintain the coccyx cradling the daintian

 

2) HANXIONG , Hollowing the chest.

a- Relax upper chest (above heart)

b- Shoulders slightly pulled forward

c- Inhale deeply ,exhale relaxed (natrual breath)

d- Sitting or Standing posture

 

3) Huzhun , Intent to Shelter the stomach

a- Raise the lower chest , centered inward

b- Relax stomach , fully inflating the Daintain

c- Upon Exhale, center & drop lower chest while pushing down and out stomach

 

 

4) Songjian , Relaxing Shoulders

a- Raise shoulders outward , but remain relaxed

b- The spine aligns the shoulder, allowing chi to sink to diantian

c- Consciousness focused on inner stillness

 

5) Diaodang , Rounding the Groin

a- Intent to move starts at the daintain (waist) controling the feet up thru the leg

b- Relaxing the Upper Body , Stablizes the lower body

c- Rounding the space above the legs , keeping the lower abdomen a little forward and upward

 

6) Sinking the Qi(chi)

a- After mastering COCCYX, HANXIONG, HUZHUN ,SONGJIAN and DIAODANG store chi

b- Always keep a calm appearance , concentrate on sinking chi to diantian,

 

 

7) Goudang , Intend to protect the Groin

a- Bend at knees slightly, ALWAYS (never lock knees)

b- Tuck groin in slightly, starting from Daintain (leaving vulnerable area unexposed)

c- Shifting wieght from 70% to 30% natraully ( never double weighted)

 

8) Babei , Lifting the back.

a- Upward and Outward position of spine between the shoulder blades

b- Allowing the shoulder to be relaxed , flexible and agile

c- Never allow the head to hang forward or backwards (creating an unstable neck)

 

9) Diding , Lifting the head

a- Head and Neck MUST be kept erect and flexilbe

b- Equate a strong cord (spine) aligning back , neck and top of head

c- Allow your Spirit flow ,from feet to top of head holding you at you crown pint

d- Tilt head back at base of head , push up chin very slightly( openning ears, nose and throat )

 

 

 

10) Chenzhou , Sinking Elbows downward

a- Fill Chi energy within your arms

b- Keep back , chest and shoulders relaxed while wrist is alert, flexible and agile

c- Allowing Chi to sink to the elbow helps chi manifestation in hands to become natural

 

11) Distinguishing Emptiness and Soildity

Yang, though a little , still exsist in yin , and Vise- versa. Meaning the solid foot carries the weight but there should still be some weight in the emtpy foot be it touching the ground flat footed , some weight still exsists.

 

12) Tengnuo , Leaping

a- Assuming a rooted stance (not double weighted)

b- Raise your intention inward to your daintain

c- Relax and conseal your intention thoroughly, while being steadfast(meditate your path)

d- Leaping with correct timing,

 

13) Shanzhan , Blitz

a- Allow your Upper and Lower componets to meet at the daintain), allowing unification in motion

b- Keeping your mind ,relaxed , alert and Coherent , relaxed alertness

c- Pulling your jing/energy back with swift intention, allowing it to build

d- Exploding with direct intention toward target
