You and Me

I can whisper my secrets to you,
Tell you my wildest dreams,
Share my aspirations with you,
You always understand, it seems.

I can spill my bitterest sorrows to you,
Tell you my most venomous complaints,
Share my feelings with you,
You always light the way.

Yet there's still a me you don't know,
The darker side who lies,
Yet there's still a me you don't see,
The one who cries at night.

Yet there's still a me I won't show,
The frightened part that's scared,
Yet there's still a me I won't be,
The one who's raw and bare.

I wonder if anyone will ever see me,
When even I can't see myself,
I wonder if anyone will ever love me,
When I cannot love myself.

I wonder if somebody out there is reaching,
Out the same way too,
I wonder if somebody is out there,
I wonder if "somebody" is you.
