Korin is (he says at least) the cat god. He lives on earth in Korin Tower. Korin met Goku while Goku tried to get some water which is said to make him stronger to defeat a hitman who was after the dragonballs. Goku then trained with Korin enough to be more faster then him. As you probably know, Korin has Senzu beans that bring back full health.
Training with Korin When you train with Korin you can get the rare Senzu beans. When you train with him for a week, he will give you 3 Senzu beans. After each week you train with him after that, you will get 1 senzu bean. (Radditz says "Once you train with him and get 3 senzu beans after a week, and stop and train again with him for another week, you do not get 3 senzu beans, only 1. That's all I have to say.")
