In the fading twilight
I sit here all alone
Wishing you were here
My thoughts wander
Back to yester year

To a time
When we were young
Our love
Was vibrant and strong

I remember
The many dreams
We once shared
While sitting together
In the evening dusk
With the essence
Of Spring surrounding us
A time when happiness
Once filled my world

As tears dampen my cheeks
I take in a deep breath
I smell sweet perfume
Of springtime in the air
You are no longer mine

My heart longs for you the most
