Acorn Hill Mastiffs
Having been born and raised on a dairy farm, my first dogs were Border Collies. When I left home, I found the perpetual motion of the Border collie to be a bit much, so I began my search for a "Slower" but larger breed. My obedience instructor and mentor suggested a Mastiff. Alex came into our lives in 1980. He was a wonderful dog, and I went on to finish his CD, CH and then did therapy work with him. I soon realized that this was the breed for me. The second Mastiff came along, then the third, then the fourth...well, you get the picture. My foundation bitches ARRABELLE OF ACORN HILL CD, TDI and CH LIONSIRE INDIGO OF PAX RIVER can be seen in the
pedigrees of many of the great Mastiffs today.
I have enjoyed being a part of this great breed for 20
years now, having served as National Rescue Director,
and holding office in the Mastiff Club Of America,
Inc. I have served as Obedience committee chair, and
currently as Working Dog committee chair.
I am proud to have bred and owned many Champions, CD's,
CDX's, Carting dogs, Agility dogs, Working dogs,
Therapy dogs, and Mastiff Club of America Collar Award
Winners and HALL Of FAME Members.
God willing there will always be a Mastiff sleeping on
my couch!
