DADDY

Daddy I was wondering if it's true

Did mom really come to you

Were your arms opened wide

And are you eternally by her side

Daddy mom became terminally ill

But like with you it was God's will

It was hard enough daddy losing you

You were the only daddy I ever knew

Daddy mom had a smile on her face

And her expression was full of grace

Daddy she knew she'd be seeing you

And her dreams would finally come true

Daddy like you mom left us behind

For a much better life so divine

Mom was missing you for so long

Her love for you was very strong

Daddy I feel your spirits near me

I know you're together and so happy

It's lonesome without my mom and dad

You two were the best I could've had

Often while sleeping you call my name

Then I awake everything's still the same

People say it gets easier as time passes

They lied through rose colored glasses

'Cause you've been gone for a long time

But still in my heart and on my mind

Sometimes I feel like mom's living in me

When she joined you I was not healthy

It's best that you two aren't around

'Cause your little suze is going down

Further and further from day to day

And the physical pain never goes away

When upon my name Sweet Jesus calls

And I hear the angels in the halls

I hope you're the first angels I see

Along with God and his heavenly family

I better go pray and get some rest

My body's tiring of these painful test

I don't know how much more I can take

Trying to be strong trying not to break

Daddy I love you both with all my heart

It saddens me cause we are apart

Oh happy days when we're together again

When Jesus washes away my sin
