Time does not erase memories! Memories make old feelings bubble up and fester again Time does not always dry tears that still fall like rain. Nor, elimate a dull aching pain,that fleeting memories can bring. Memories can cut like a razor sharp Knife bringing you to your knees Or bring a smile to your face and light up your day. Memories are pictures of the past A way to reflect back to learn from our mistakes,hurts, or triumphants. Memories to dwell upon, to evaluate Touching whats in our hearts' core Discovering who we really are Memories are reflective mirrors of our souls. We must use them to flourish,substain and enlighten our lives. Today memories brought tears to my eyes and pain from the past . Today 12 years ago was the day the love of my life took another for his wife. Time can deaden the pain . But, it can't erase the memories of 21 years of life with someone.
