For those that have ever entered an AOL chat room, titles like kajira Waterfalls etc... know what I mean by Gor fantasy. For those that have ever felt their Masters leather or heard his stern voice know what Gor reality is. For those that don't know what I mean by either, read on, I will try to enlighten you.This is a slaves point of view... I have been a r/t slave for 16+ yrs from Gor to D/s back to Gor again. I have also RP as well so I know both sides of the world of Gor.
I will start off with the fantasy side...Some of those that you will find in any given Gor chat room are basically just filling their time with something to do. You will also find R/T people as well but not as much. The cyber world has changed so much that they have taken Gorean RP (Role Play) and even made AOL Gor. Anyone who has ever played D&D (Dungeon & Dragons) will understand what RP is, basically you play a part and tell a story. Most make up their own, some follow others story lines. Depends how creative you are.
If you enter a room with the name kajira in it or tavern etc... most likely you have stumbled upon the RP'ers. The good RP'ers do not like people interrupting, bashing, etc... So do not think that because you are in a story room you can do as you wish for you will soon find out it isn't wanted. Now if you stumble into the less serious rooms (the ones that have taken Gor and ran with it) then I'm sure you will find enough fooling around to satisfy you. In the decent rooms (and there aren't many left) you will see 'sisters' serving/servicing their Masters any way that is wished of them. You will also see battles, punishments, and anything that is within the story lines. If you are new my suggestion is to ask in the room if you may IM someone to get info. Do not send an IM to a Gorean Master and be rude... they won't help you. But be forewarned, if you enter a RP room and wish to join them and you are "an unowned slave" you will not remain that way long. Gorean men take as they wish... even others' property.
You will see a different language spoken as well. This is Gorean. With words like Paga, kajira, Jarl. Where the AOL RP has come about it seems they make up their own language with words like karta, which r/t do not even use. As with anything else AOL has taken something and made its own use of it, but such is the way if you RP long enough.
Masters and slaves have existed for many years. John Norman and his incredible mind created the books of Gor. It is a set of 25 books based on a planet called Gor. It is on the other side of the sun and has 3 moons. Everything is different than the planet Earth right down to the fact that he invented a serum to slow the aging process and make slaves 'forever' beautiful. It is the bases of these books that started the Gor RP. These books are no longer in printing but many can be found on Ebay or from any given collector of science fiction. Too many get themselves so absorbed into these books and the RP that they start to believe this is the way the reality side is. Some of it yes... but not all.
That brings me to the reality of Gor....We can go back to the Story of O and see harsh slavery at the hands of Masters. Or we can see the people that have put together their own 'communities' of Gor on Earth and chose to live their lives this way. I believe too many have stuck to the Norman books and forget the fact they are FICTION. Are there places like Gor on Earth? Well, sadly there are some that like to think they are. You may be saying to yourselves... well this is being written by a kajira, how can she be so negative??
I have good reason...
To say you are Gorean does not have to mean you are a slave who is beaten everyday and thought of as a piece of meat. The levels that you submit to are up to you and your Master, not John Norman. I have seen too much as a submissive to know all sides of this, from submitting to beatings and punishments. And to also feel the tender touch of my Master who loves me. There are many 'Masters' out there who I'm sorry to say Master one thing... ABUSE. We as slaves do not have to submit ourselves to such craziness. I have lived it and at the time I was so young and caught up in what was driven into me that I thought this was the norm. It isn't.The reality of the life as a Gorean slave is as follows...
We are human. We have Masters and some Goreans have children as well. We have homes to take care of, cleaning, cooking, child raising, etc... Sure this sounds like any wife but the levels are very different.Ex: Day in the life of me...
Morning wake up is usually the children waking us. We have 3.
I make everyone breakfast, children first then Master, then me.
I bathe and dress Master when I can after the children are attended to.
I go about my daily routine taking care of the children that are home, cleaning, cooking, errands etc....
Older children come home from school. Then of course there is homework and the start of dinner.
Again feeding everyone, myself last even if we are all at the table. I care for my loved ones before myself.
Master has certain serves he enjoys and ways for me to 'carry' myself, but being parents that is not always done.
In those quiet moments, dinners etc... I serve in the way He enjoys to please him.
After everyone has eaten there are baths. Master does help with this as they are his children too and He does not look at this time as his slave has to do this. He sees it as a father spending quality time with his family.
After the children are asleep is the best time for me to do things the 'right' way, my words, actions, etc...
Before I go to sleep I kneel at the bed to show respect to my Master.
Ok... a lot of you are saying that isn't Gor!!! Well since we choose to live our way it is. We have chosen a life together and choose to bring children into it so even though we may sound nilla we aren't. There are things that happen 24/7 that others can't tell and makes us different from nillas.I wear His collar locked unless a situation arises that He feels it should not be worn.
I have 2 of my 3 submission rings that are only viewed by Him.
I walk to Masters left, a step behind always.
I never raise my voice to him or others.
I do not make the major decisions or any for that matter unless Master is not around and something needs to be tended to ASAP.
I follow Master's rules inside and outside the home.
If I don't, I also accept my punishments.
Master chooses my clothes, computer time, etc...
I obey him no matter what and if there is something I do not agree with I ask him if we may discuss it.
Our relationship is so strong he almost always agrees.
It comes down to me serving him always... yes. But it also means that I am taken care of, protected and nurtured.These things that are not noticeable are the things that make us Master/slave, not the things you read in books or see in chat rooms. We are who we are to each other and in any relationship that should be the most important things. Not what others see or say.
My best suggestion to all when separating fantasy/reality in anything is to know there IS a difference. We do not walk on the ground of Gor and are not kept in sheds, huts, etc... Do we serve? Yes we do. But as humans, not property. I have not been injected with some fantasy serum and I will age. I will make sure that I take care of myself to be always beautiful to my Master but we will grow old gracefully TOGETHER.
