Suzy's Girl Scout Court of Honor - Mon. June 8th
SUZY AND HER buds started the evening paling around before the show started. The food, of course, was right behind them.
ACCEPTING HER first award, Suzy braved the last rays of the sun to pick it up. :-)
SURROUNDED BY HER leaders, Suzy gave the GS sign. A happy ending to a happy year. Now on to Gold Scout.

The Annual Montgomery County Fair - Aug. 16th
MARGE CANIK was there and helped at the cash register. Jim cooked, as usual.
EDITH BREADED the chicken.........
..........WHILE AB STIRRED and fried it up ...with the help of yours truly, Guy Beaven.
............AND LAST BUT not least, my Honey, Dianne, worked the servers' line and then had a nervous breakdown when she discovered she had lost the key to the CLUB. Luckily we ran into police officers who directed us to the firemen, Laytonsville Vol., who busted the CLUB and got us gome....WHEW!!!!

Ye Ole Water Hole For Kayaking All Summer 2003
DURING THE CIVIL WAR, this was a location of much activity.
THE JUMP OFF point was this landing.
A VIEW of the ramp from the middle of the Potomac river.
A TRIBUTARY OF the Potomac, on the right is a golf course, the left an uninhabited (as yet) island, and straight ahead leads to some falls.
QUITE A VIEW from the opposite shore. Cranes, herrings, kingfishers, snapping turtles, all could be seen at this spot. It will be missed during the winter months.

Last Weekend In OC for Summer - Sep. 6th & 7th
SUSAN AND MOM soaked up the rays one final time....
AS DID CASPER THE friendly ghost sitting next to Suzy.
FOR THE WEEKEND after Labor Day, the joint sure was packed, as was the condo later that night when Miami came from behind 33 - 10 to BEAT Florida!!!!!
