DRIVING ACROSS THE Bay Bridge,(which took a full 45 minutes to get through the toll booth), we drove all the way down to the very end of Tilghman Island where we came across this Navy Warfare station. They used to measure Electromagnetic pulses here. There's a quaint bed and breakfast just down the road from here.

AT THE VERY END of Tilghman Island, Dianne stands on the a dock overlooking this beautiful waterscape.

TO GET OVER to Tilghman Island we had to pass over this draw bridge. A real pain in the ass when 25 boats are queued up to motor underneath it.

ONCE WE GOT OVER that monstrosity of a bridge, on the way out of town we stopped at this restaurant right by the docks for lunch. Great nautical setting. The crab cakes were excellent, too.

ONCE THE HOMETOWN of Frederick Douglass and James Michener, St. Michaels was very quaint with cute little shops. The model ship store we visited had boats with asking prices of up to $2500. We even saw swans and jellyfish.

HAVING THREATENED on the other side of the bay all afternoon, this squall finally made its way towards us.

WHILE CROSSING over to the town of Oxford pon this ferry, the "perfect storm" slammed into us on the starboard side with rain and lightening pounding us.

From Oxford we drove into Easton and took in the sites where Revolutionary fever took hold of the citizens in 1775.
After that we made our way back over to the mainland and tried to have dinner at "Mike's" but it was too packed. So we headed into Annapolis and had a scrumptious meal at "Buddy's." There was a football game going on at the Naval Academy so we decided not to stay in the area too long for fear of getting stuck in a traffic jam - Navy ended up losing to Temple!
We finally, sadly, made the long trek back to Gaithersburg.
