new story ideas!

Since summer break is approaching, and I'll be wrapping up Dark Nites, Be Right Back, Real Sex 69, and The New Girl soon (and I do mean soon).... I'm thinking about what new things I want to write about. I've got some ideas floating around... so I'm just gonna run them past you. Please be sure to let me know what you think!



Hell's Paradise
--- Kevin, Howie, Brian, AJ, and Nick board a plane from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, California.... but due to a tragic crash, they never make it. Together, along with four other survivors, the guys are stranded on an uncharted island. To make matters worse, they don't know what they can eat and what they can't. They don't know what animals or plants are dangerous and which are not. They know nothing of the weather, or of natives.... they know absolutely nothing about the beautiful yet hellish island they're trapped on. How will they get by?
--- This story idea is inspired by movies such as The Beach, Castaway, and the Blue Lagoon.

Teacher's Pet
--- Kevin accepts a teaching position at Round Rock High School after 12th grade English Literature teacher, Mrs. Bronson, goes out on maternity leave. While there, Mrs. Bronson's favorite student, Michal Conner, falls head-over-heals in love with her new substitute. Though she has always been attracted to older guys, she's never acted on it. But this time, she's legal, and she's more than willing to play her cards carefully and take a chance at winning Mr. Richardson's heart.



Non-BSB Story Ideas

Though I love the Backstreet Boys, as do my Butterfly sisters, I love other celebrities too. Because I want to eventually write stories (and when I learn to be patient.... novels) having nothing to do with celebrities, I want to at least branch out from BSB to other stars I admire. So, I've developed a few ideas that have nothing whatsoever to do with BSB.

The Affair
--- I don't know about all of you, but having seen the Scorpion King like 5 times already... I have way too many naughty thoughts about the Rock floating around in my head. So, I've come up with a little something that I want to write featuring him. It's mainly about a young novelist named Siobhan (Celtic/Irish name, pronounced "Sha-vauhn"), whose nickname is Vauhn, who has had her heartbroken one too many times. So, she decides that she will no longer allow herself to fall in love. Instead, she chooses to have a more scandelous love life as opposed to a conventional one. She falls for a very desirable and very married man, Dwayne Johnson (the Rock), and despite her inhibitions, she stirs up a forbidden relationship with him. But when deeper feelings surface, and her lover's wife begins to suspect.... will Vauhn be able to just walk away from their secret relationship? Whose heart will be broken this time?
--- This story isn't really inspired by anything. It just popped into my head like an hour ago. Really. I just really think that the Rock could carry on a role like this, if given the opportunity, so I will difinitely enjoy writing this one. And, of course, I'm going to have the time of my life shaping Vauhn out to be the sly vixen that I could only be in my dreams!

The Vampire Novellas
--- For those of you who follow Dark Nites, I want to go back and teel the story of each of the DN characters in full detail, much like Anne Rice does with her Lestat, Armand, Pandora, Vittorio, etc. I will take my completely fictional vampires (Gray, Anne, Daniella, Arius, and Maia) and tell each of their interesting stories. I plan to include their childhoods, how they came to acquire their dark gifts, and how they deal with being preternatural creatures in the advanced and fast-pace 21st century.
--- Just a side note, if you're reading this and have no Earthly idea who Anne Rice is.... then you're seriously missing out. She's an amazing author and her books are pure art! And you don't have to be morbid, or Gothic, or in tune with your dark side to enjoy her vampire tales... trust me, anyone with an open mind can fully enjoy her Vampire Chronicles. So, please, pick up one of her books and give her a try!
