The Order of the Arrow will be supporting the Derby as follows:

1)      We will run the stations on the Boy Scout Trail(In the past 2 meetings, we have come up with ideas for 10 stations, listed below). We will need at least 40 people to do this, so please come and help if it is at all possible! This will be a great opportunity for some cheerful service to honor your OA obligations! Plus, you get to hang out with your OA friends and get in on all the OA fellowship for the weekend. Don‚t miss out! If you think you can help, call me or send an e-mail ASAP. If you are interested in running any of the events, you must either attend the next meeting on January 14th, or call me ASAP.

2)      We will be cooking for this event.

3)      We will help with conducting traffic at the beginning of the Klondike

4)      We will conduct campsite inspections at the end of the Klondike

5)      We will need stoves for each station.  If you can bring any kind of camping stove, please let me know ASAP at (301) 249-4493. We will need 10 stoves for this event (1 for each station). Thanks!

The following is a list of events(and those who volunteered to lead them) that we came up with during the November chapter meeting:

1) Rope Burning Competition- Nick Michael

2) Blind-folded Path Relay- Grant Simmons

3) First-Aid Relay- Will Zelenka

4) Orienteering Course- One of the troops?

5) Leave No Trace/Safety Game(Identify what‚s wrong with the model campsite)- Zeke Roebuck

6) Frisbee Golf- Nick Wallace

7) Ladder-building Relay- Steve Richardson

8) Life-Saving Event- Aaron Woodall

9) Catapult Attack Event- Troop 1010?

10) Sled Race- Any volunteers?

Note to those who have volunteered to run events: If at all possible, you must attend the next OA chapter meeting on Monday, January 14. If you can‚t make it, give me a call so we can discuss what will be happening at your station. We will have to finalize the details for all the events, as well as come up with solid staff for each one. Start asking your OA friends for help and encourage everyone to come to the Klondike.
