I wish I had a dream
That could really come true
All my dreams are like brittle glass
That cracks and breaks at the gentlest touch
I need a dream I can truly believe in
But dreams are just that, dreams
Dreams never come true
They just leave you down and empty
Dreams make me want to cry

Like feathers in the wind
Dreams are sad a depressing
Just like my life

To wish upon and hope
A star that would give me hope

Through the darkest part of night
It would act as a beacon
To guide me through life
My star would always be there
To give me a dream
To be a true friend for life
A star could be the best thing in my life
