the fires inside
she sits alone, firelight dancing with shadow across her delicately featured face. her large dark eyes stare into the flame, drawn and captured by its beauty. the same beauty reflected in her eyes. her hair hanging down, framing her face, the silken strands picking up and throwing the flaming colors around. her hair seems to be alive as it dances and sways in the slight breeze. she leans forward slightly, small delicate but strong hands come together and rest on her lap. her small-boned body gracefully bends as she stretches and then settles back down, dark eyes intent and lost in the inferno.
he watches her from across the flames, his bright eyes intent on her alone. his face half hiden in shadows as firelight dances around, he leans forward as to see her better. his strong musclulared frame shudders slightly as a gust of wind seems to dance up his spine, sending chills throughout his body. still he watches her as she watches the flames. his bright eyes searching her face, memorizing its form and every curve.
she sighs, and then looks up; dark eyes meeting bright. their eyes locked together, neither one wanting to break off contanct. stark yearning and desired mirrored in eyes both dark and bright. the fires leap higher, striving to interfere, to interupt the moment.
he stares at her, falling deeper, faster into the darkness of her eyes. in her eyes he sees the fire, and he sees the stars shining bright. her eyes are the richness of the deep forests, of newly farrowed soil. all the life the earth posses bound up and placed gently down into her face. two wide dark stars that shine from the depths of her soul. the fires outside seem to mimic the fires inside. he saw desire in her eyes, and that desire was returned full fold. he wanted her, he needed her, he loved her with every fiber in his being.
she longed for the strength to look away, but she was caught in his eyes, drowning in the pure sea brightness of them. in his eyes she sees the deepness of the oceans, the roar of waves pounding on the surf fills her ears. all the brighness of the sea and sky on a bright summer day was scooped up and tied with strings from the stars above. all that she saw in his eyes, the brightness, the light, she longed for. she wanted to run, she didnt' know how much she could take. too intense, this feeling of desire rising inside of her. she yearned, she wanted, she needed, but she was also afraid. afraid of the fires rising would consume her. her life going up in a breif but intense flash of flame. he evoked the feeling of fire inside of her.
the wind picks up, she suddenly stands up, breaking contact. he gasps, seeking to reach out across the fires to touch her. she turns, hair trailing behind, catching the light, throwing shadows around. he stands up, takes a step towards her, still reaching out. she turns her head back for a split second, meets his eyes and quickly turns away. her long legs flashing as her strides quickly escalate from a walk to a run. he leaps after her, unwilling to let her run away from him again. he needs her in his life and will do anything it takes to keep her there.
running after her he dodges branches that seek to catch and hold him in place. he sees a flash up ahead and picks up speed. she glances backs and her steps falter, she stumbles on an upraised root and tries to steady herself. he reaches out, hands gently saving her from a fall. his arms enfold her, drawing her close. she allows herself to be pressed against him, burying her face against his chest. she could hear his heart beating, strongly, in time with her own and she looks up. dark eyes meet bright as he gently strokes back her hair from her face. wordlessly she sees the truth in his eyes. he promises never to leave her, never to break her. she promises back, she will not run from him, she will not seek to destroy him. the stars shine bright in her eyes and their light is mirrored in his as they slowly walk down the path. together, the fires inside leaping higher and the stars softly illuminating their life.

dark stars
she sits alone, small frame folded in on herself. her dark eyes staring without seeing, seeing things that only exist in her mind. books lay in forgotten heaps around her, their words lost and flowing away. music playing aimlessly in the background, sets the backdrop of her thoughts. thinking, thoughts flowing around, her dark eyes longing to see the beauty of the day. to watch the sun rise, to see its fires spread across the skies like molten gold. she wishes to see the brightness of the sea, to watch the dawn erupt over the ocean waters. she sees in her mind emerald green seas, silver sand beaches. to lay on the cool sand and stare into the dark star studded sky while the roar of the pounding surf gently rocks her to sleep. to lie safe and sheltered under the skies. dark eyes staring off into the distance, seeing a dream that only she can see. her eyes close, open again filled with longing. she wants to see the ocean again. the last time she saw it was too briefly. she sacrificed her chance to stand on the shore and smell the salt breeze. she gave it up and in the end that sacrifice was worthless and needless. she longs to feel the cool ocean winds sweep around her, caressing her skin, tugggin her hair every which way, making it dance in the warm sunlight. she longs to watch the moon rise over the rolling waters, to have its soft silver light illuminate her, filling her to the very center of her being. she sighs, the lure of the ocean pulls her in, drawing her towards it. salt water flows through her veins, without it she would die. dark eyes still stare unseeing. she has another longing, another things she must have in order to live. dark eyes close again. images of mountains fill her mind. piles of rocks spiralling up, trees scattered around. the trees go up neverending. the rocky forest floor littered with leaves from seasons past, the rushing roar of water falling fills her ears. the cries of hawks circling over head, her dark eyes following them in their path across the bright skies. dark eyes stare up into the brightness, seeking to draw it in, to hold it inside. shadows show depth, darkness surrounds and contrasts the bright. dark eyes searching for bright. salt water runs through her veins, pounding of the surf the beat of her heart, the mountains are mirrored in her spirit, strong and sturdy. the breeze through the trees whispers her names. the earth is her life, the sun her warmth, the moon her emotions. the stars call out to her, seeking to teach her and show her the universe. dark eyes search, dark eyes seek to meet those which are bright. dark and bright belong together, combinded they are everything, they complement they support. dark eyes peer around, searching for something that cannot be seen, but still reaching for it.

dark smears across white paper
she can't sit still, she cannot sleep. every muscle tired, crying for rest, yet she cannot lay down. dark eyes staring in concentration, to make everyline exact, to make it perfect. striving for perfection, fingers sliding across the paper, dragging along dark lines. quickly it forms, but still she continues. she much make it perfect, without perfection she is not happy. such high standards she sets for herself, but not so much for others. dark eyes peer down, look up, peer down again. never pleased with what she can create, she continues on. to anyone else, they would rejoice, and exlaim that it is done. not her her. nothing is ever complete, always something more that she can do. never satisfied with the here an now, she seeks to find more. dark eyes look at the world. constantly suprising all who watch her, she moves through life. barely touching, barely there. but she's more real than most, she's too real at times. dark smudges across a paper, and there something is revealed. dark eyes look at it unhappily, there is something missing. but one cannot put down suprise, cannot put down mystery, cannot put down the world on white paper. it will not work. still she tries, dark eyes peering down intent on the work of her hands. such small hands, yet stronger than most think or see. she glances up, dark eyes staring back at her, deep, full and unchanging. she searches for a brightness in them, finds it in the reflection of the world. all of the universe seems to spin around in her head. she can reach out and touch the worlds, dark eyes seeing it all. so small, so fragile seeming, she stands before the tides, daring them to come in closer. dark eyes challenge and meet little resistence that she can not overcome. where are the challenges? they lie only trapped behind her dark eyes. fingers flashing over the paper, what story lies there?
