“Ugh! I don’t know which to choose!” I squealed in frustration. I was staring at about 20 dresses scattered about my room, that designers had provided for the party that night.
“Still trying to decide?” Kirsten asked coming in, dress in arm.
“Yes! I can’t choose! I have four I’m trying to decide between, but I just don’t know! I think I’m going to choose this one,” I said, picking up a floor length white shimmery gown. It was a long flowy dress with spaghetti straps and a long matching scarf.
“It’s beautiful! Try it on!” Ani pushed me into the bathroom.
The girls had all joined me in my room in order to get ready for the large party MTV was hosting. Every star who was part of So Cal Summer was going to be there, and there were going to be many performances.
I tried the dress on, and it looked amazing. I walked out and all the girls agreed it was perfect. I brushed a bit of glitter onto my cheeks and arms, applied a little blush, and curled my eyelashes with mascara.
“Laura, you ready? We’re supposed to meet the guys now!” Sayde asked from the other room.
“I’ll meet you out in a minute, okay?” I clipped my diamond pendant around my neck, and slipped into my white glittery sandals. I smoothed my dress down once more, and stepped into the hall. I looked towards the group and saw JC with his mouth hanging open, and most of the other guys with wide eyes. JC walked towards me and took my hands gently into his.
“You’re the most beautiful girl in the world,” he said, looking deep in my eyes.
“You look pretty handsome yourself,” I blushed, looking at his tux. I had always believed that the finishing touch to a perfect guy would be his ability to look dashing in a tux.
“Shall we go my Princess?” JC asked, escorting me to the elevator. We all walked outside to the back of the hotel, and climbed into the three limos that were waiting. Nick, Brian, Ani, AJ, Sayde, Kevin, and Howie were seated in the first limo. Lance, Justin, Joey, and Chris were in the second. And Kirsten, Chris, Shannon, Britney, JC, and I were in the third.
“You sure you’re ready?” I asked JC, a little unsure of the situation were were about to step into.
He kissed my cheek and took my hands in his. The chauffeur opened the door, and JC stepped out first. He turned around and helped me out of the limo, before taking my arm.
“Laura! JC! Can we do an interview?” Quddus asked after a million flashes blinded us. We walked over to the camera, squeezing eachother’s hands for support.
“I have with me JC Chasez from NSYNC and pop princess Laura, who looks like an absolute princess tonight, may I add.” Quddus said to the camera. “Laura, I hear you have a new album coming out soon, can you tell us a little about it?”
“That’s right Quddus! My new album will be released two weeks from today! On this album, as on the first, I’ve written all the songs myself and I play guitar or keyboard on most. I’ve also had a bigger hand in producing the album, and I’m really proud of the way it’s turned out!” I smiled.
“Looking forward to buying it! Now, there’s one more thing I want to ask before you two party the night away! Is there anything going on between you two? I’ve heard rumors the past couple of days, so would you like to clear them up for us?”
“Well, I would just like to announce that I’ve found my dream girl and I’m not going to let her get away!” JC said, looking into my eyes, and then pulling me close to kiss my nose.
“Well, there you have it. Sorry boys and girls, but it looks like two more singers are off the available list,” Quddus laughed before the camera man stopped rolling.
JC and I continued walking down the red carpet, oblivious to all the flashes and fans screaming out to us. We had both found what we had been searching for, and we were never going to let go.
