I walked into the studio and was pulled into make-up and wardrobe immediately. I was put into black boots that go up to my knees, a short black plaid skirt, and a white v-neck shirt. The lady then applied glitter to my cheeks, eyes, eyelashes, and lips, because glitter is one of my trademarks. I always wear glitter as long as it isn’t too flashy.
I walked into the main studio and noticed a couple faces that I recognized. I walked further into the room and the photographer saw me.
“Ah, the beautiful madamoiselle is here,” the photographer said with a french accent.
“Merci beaucoup,” I said as I blushed.
“Oh-la-la! Vous parlez francais?” (You speak french?)
“Oui, monsieur. J’ai le pris en ecole.” (Yes, sir. I took it in school.)
“Eh, bien. Peut-etre nous pouvons parler apres.” (Oh, good. Maybe we can talk after.)
“Bien.” (Good)
“Okay everyone. We’re going to be here for a couple hours, so you all can just relax and have fun. If we are not working with you, you should go to the lounge next door. I need Laura, Nick, and Justin first since you three are the youngest. We’re going to try different combinations until I’m satisfied,” the photographer said.
The three of us stayed on the set while the other members of NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys walked into the other room. I had met Nick, Justin, Brian, and Lance through a charity event, and had seen the others on tv and at award ceremonies, but had never met them.
“Okay. I want you three to start talking among yourselves. We’re going for a natural look, so just act like you usually do,” the photographer said.
“Oh, like that’s as easy as it sounds,” Nick laughed.
“So, how’s the sexy starlet doing?” Justin asked.
“Fine,” I laughed. “What about you two? How are the tours going?”
“They’re good. Every concert is sold out as usual. I heard your tour is sold out too,” Nick commented.
“Yeah, I’m really happy about it. And unlike your tours, my fans aren’t all under the age of fifteen and female,” I laughed.
Knowing that I was ticklish from the last time we’d met, the two decided to continue what Chris, Peter, and Dan had started earlier.
“Please stop guys! You’re going to mess up my make-up and get them mad at me, and I’ll have to get re-done,” I pouted.
“Fine,” Justin said, “but only because I know how much I hate make-up.”
“Thank you!” I said as I stuck my tongue out.
“Okay. I think we’ve gotten enough pictures with you three. I need Laura to stay here, but can you two tell JC and Lance to come in?” the photographer asked.
The two guys walked out, and I tried to fix my short bright blonde hair. Lance and JC walked in, and Lance gave me a hug.
“Hey girl! How are you?” Lance asked.
“I’m good, you?”
“Doing well. You’ve never met JC, have you?”
“Nope. I’m Laura, but you probably knew that much about me,” I laughed. JC took my hand and kissed it like a gentleman.
“And he doesn’t even have any of the southern gentleman gene in him. He’s from my good old home state,” I laughed.
“You’re from Maryland?” JC asked.
“Yup, I grew up in Silver Spring,” I said.
“Really? I grew up about fifteen minutes away from there!”
We continued getting to know eachother, and soon the photographer told us that he had enough pictures of us. I was paired with Nick and Brian next, and Justin and JC afterwards. The photographer called for three of the guys, and I left along with my bodyguards to go to the radio station for my interview.

At the radio station
“Hello Portland! Today I have a special guest for all of you! Sitting here with me right now is a certain 5’11 blue eyed babe. For all of you who haven’t guessed it already, Laura is here in the studio with us today for a small interview! During the last fifteen minutes we will have a phone line to call in and ask questions, but first I get to interview the young star. So Laura, I hear that your new cd will be coming out in little over one week! Can you tell us what to expect on this album?”
“Sure. This album is similar to my first, because again all the songs have been written by me. The sound is a little more mature from my first album, because I have experienced so much more since the first album came out. The songs are mainly upbeat pop/r&b, mixed with a couple slow songs, and two dance songs.”
“Sounds good! How is the current tour going?”
“The tour is going great! I hope all the fans who have come have loved it, and for the others, I’ll be in your city soon! The fans have been wonderful and very supportive, so I think this tour has definitely been a success so far!”
“Well, I’m definitely a fan, and I can’t wait to see your concert tonight! Now, here is Laura’s newest single, Goodbye Love, and we’ll come back afterwards for more questions.”
After the song played, the DJ asked more questions and it came time for calls.
“Okay, here is the first phone call from a Lizzy Baker.”
“Hey Laura! I love you!”
“Hey Lizzy, how are you?” I asked.
“I’m great! I can’t wait to see your concert tonight! I was just wondering, are you dating anyone right now?” Lizzy asked.
“Whoa, the boyfriend question already!” the DJ laughed.
“Nope Lizzy, I’m totally single right now! Not enough time for guys, as hard as that is to understand!” I laughed.
We went through a couple more phone calls and then the DJ announced that we’d be taking one more call.
“Hello? You’re on Portland’s Number One pop station with Laura!” the DJ said.
“Laura! WE LOVE YOU!!! We just wanted to call and say that we love you and that everyone else better love you! Also, we wanted to tell you that we have a surprise for you tonight, but we won’t tell you until your concert!”
I almost immediately recognized Nick, Lance, Chris, and Brian’s voices, but didn’t say anything out loud.
“Well, it looks like Laura has several admirerers in this town! Anyways, it’s time to let Laura go! Here is Laura’s last single that made it big on the charts!”
“Bye Portland!” I said before taking off the headphones.
“Thank you so much for doing the interview Laura. Just wondering, but was it just me, or was the last phone call made by a mix of NSYNC and BSB members?” the DJ asked.
I laughed and told him that it wasn’t just him, and that I had just seen them, and that they were just total goofballs.
“Laura, we need to get you to the venue for your concert,” one of my security guards said.
“Okay, let’s go!”
