I changed into a suit and ran out to the beach.
“Hey Laur!” Ani yelled when she saw me.
“Hey everyone!” I said as I lay my towel down on the sand.
“You’re down with the video already?” Brian asked confused.
“Yup! We finished it really fast! I think being with Nick helped it to go faster.”
“Well, you know what they say, it only takes 15 minutes!” AJ grinned.
“AJ! You have such a sick mind! Eww!” I giggled.
“Hey! You know you want me!” Nick laughed as he sat next to me.
“What took you so long?” I asked, kissing him back.
“I was taking a shower,” he said, kissing me again.
“Yeah, a cold one!” AJ joked.
“Of course AJ,” Nick rolled his eyes.
“Aww, I’m so sorry baby! I didn’t realize I could do that to you!” I said, turning on my side and laying in a suggestive pose.
“Stop that!” he groaned.
“Poor baby,” I pouted, running a finger down his chest.
“Ugh,” Nick moaned as he leaned in and captured my lips. He moved over so he was leaning on his arm over me. We continued our kiss for what seemed like forever, until we were ambushed with a bucket of cold water.
We looked up and found Brian and AJ laughing.
“We thought you too were getting a little too hot in public,” AJ laughed.
“Yeah, plus, we don’t want to see you two get hot and heavy around us!” Brian laughed.
“I bet you wouldn’t mind if it was you and Ani!” I groaned.
“Of course not!” Brian grinned.
“Well, come over here stud!” Ani smiled. Brian ran over as fast as he could, and jumped down on Ani’s towel.
“What did you say?” Brian smiled.
“I said, you’re not getting any here either!” she laughed.
“Ha! So there! That’s what you get!” Nick laughed at the pouting Brian.
“Oh shush!” Brian said as he continued to pout.
“Anyways, us girls need to go inside and start getting ready! If you need any of us, we’ll all be in the same place,” Sayde announced.
We all collected our stuff, and headed inside. We went to our separate rooms to get what we needed for the evening, and congregated in Ani’s room.
“Ugh! I have no idea what to wear!” I whined.
“Well, let’s see the choices!” Kirsten said, and I picked up the two dresses.
“I say you go with the purple one,” Brit said.
“Nah, I think you should wear the blue one! It’s your best color, and that dress will knock his socks off!” Ani said.
“Yeah, I agree! Wear the blue!” Sayde said.
I slipped the dress on. It was a tube top dress that ended an inch above my knee, but it had slits fairly high on my thighs. I put my hair up in a butterfly clip, and applied a little glitter on my eyes, and put on some lip-gloss.
“Wow, you look so pretty!” Shannon said.
“Thanks! You think he’ll like?” I asked.
“Definitely!” Ani smiled.
“What about me?” Sayde asked.
“AJ’s gonna go wild!” I laughed. She was wearing a long black skirt with high slits, and a leopard print tube top, along with black boots.
“I hope Brian likes this,” Ani said. She was wearing a midnight blue dress with an empire waist.
“Will you all just shut up?! You look fine!” Kirsten laughed.
“So, what is everyone doing tonight?” Shannon asked.
“I’m going to dinner and then heading to a club with AJ,” Sayde announced.
“I’m going to a movie and then dinner with Brian,” Ani smiled.
“What movie aren’t you seeing?” I grinned.
“Oh shush! I’m not sure!” she laughed.
“What are you and Nick doing?” Brit asked.
“I’m not sure. He said it was a surprise,” I shrugged.
“Well, we’re going out with the other guys!” Shannon smiled.
“Umm…which other ones?” I laughed.
“Oh! Duh!” Shannon giggled. “We’re going out with Justin, Lance, Joey, and Chris. I think they’re trying to persuade JC to come too!”
A knock came at the door. Sayde opened it and smiled.
“Good evening gentlemen. Want to come in?”
“Wow! You look sexy!” AJ grinned.
“You look wonderful,” Nick said as he walked up to me.
“You look great too,” I smiled.
“Ready to go?” he asked.
“Where are we going?”
“Uh-uh! I’m not telling!” he teased.
“Pweeese?” I gave him a puppy dog look.
“Nope! Now stop doing that face!”
“We’ll see you later!” I said, walking out the door.
“Come on milady,” Nick said, opening the door of a Jeep.
“Nice car!” I smiled.
“The hotel let me borrow it! A limo would bring too much attention.”
“Shouldn’t we bring security?”
“They’re following us, and they promised not to interrupt unless we need them.”
We drove for about ten minutes and then Nick parked the car.
“A carnival?” I smiled happily.
“Yup! I thought it would be fun!”
“Definitely! Let’s go!” I yelled, taking his hand and running to the entrance.
“What should we do first?”
“Hmm…I dunno…all I know is that the ferris wheel has to be last!”
“Let’s go on the tilt-a-whirl,” Nick suggested.
“Kay!” We stood in the line until the current ride was over, and strapped ourselves in.
We went on several more rides until we both realized we were hungry. We picked up a couple of hot dogs, and then went into the haunted house.
“Boo!” I yelled, jumping out from behind a mirror. Nick screamed and then started tickling me.
“Stop!” I begged him.
“Why should I?” he laughed.
“Cuz then I can do this,” I said as I reached up to kiss him.
“I like that,” he smiled, kissing me again.
“Eww mommy! They’re kissing!” a little boy interrupted us.
I blushed and laughed, and Nick took my hand as we continued walking.
“What should we do now?” I asked after we successfully left the haunted house.
“I know! Come on!” We walked over to the arcade. “I’m gonna win you a prize!”
“Aww! Thanks babe! Whatcha gonna play first?”
“That racing game! I always win!” he smiled as he ran over.
I laughed. I loved how Nick could go from being mature, to acting like a two year old in two seconds flat. He was so much fun, and there was never a dull moment when we were together.
He played a couple games, and won tons of tickets.
“Whatcha want?” he asked smiling.
“That teddy bear!” I said, pointing to a giant fluffy panda bear. He got that and a cute little plastic holographic ring with a picture of a butterfly. We walked outside and got some ice cream, and sat down on a bench. After we finished eating, he turned to me.
“Laura?”
“Yes Nick?”
“I know this is cheap, but it’s only temporary. Will you wear this as a promise ring?” Nick asked, holding the ring he won.
“I’d love to,” I smiled. He slipped the ring on my finger.
“Wanna go on the ferris wheel now? It’s pretty late.”
“Sure.” We walked to the large ride, and Nick helped me into a car. The ride started and we cuddled, looking out the top of the car.
“It’s beautiful,” I sighed.
“You’re beautiful,” he whispered in my ear. “I’m so glad you’re mine.”
“I’m glad too,” I smiled, kissing him.
