I jerked awake an hour later from the bus stopping.
“Where are we?” I asked a passing Raven.
“Another rest stop. A certain group got hungry AGAIN!” She laughed.
We heard our door open and a stampede of feet.
“Woohoo? Blondie? Where are you?” A familiar voice asked.
“Ugh! Why are you guys here?” I moaned from my bunk.
“Cuz we love you!” Brian announced giving me a kiss on my cheek.
“Aww! But guys, I’m tired!” I yawned.
“Why? Because of the way you were woken up earlier?” AJ laughed.
“Oh shush! Just remember, if you ever do that to me I’ll kick your ass.”
“Come on. We brought you a double cheeseburger for lunch,” Kevin said.
“Yummy. Fine, I’m coming.” I grabbed my blanket because I was really cold.
“You okay Laura? Come cuddle with me so you can warm up.”
I went over and laid against Nick and put the blanket over us. We ate our lunch and just sat there cuddling and talking. Nick’s arms felt really good, and after he was done with his food, he wrapped them around me under the blanket. I started daydreaming about me and Nick, and must have dozed off because the next thing I knew, I was lying on my bunk wrapped in my sheets and my blanket.
“Anyone there?” I asked.
“Good, Sleeping Beauty is up. The guys are in the back room playing Nintendo,” Nick said as he walked out of the back room. He stood staring at me and walked over to my bunk.
“Mind if I join you? You look so comfy and I’m still a little tired too.”
“Sure. Come on up.” He pulled himself up and laid next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to him, so we were right up against each other. We lay there for a while and both fell asleep.
