*Chapter 2*

We all sat around the table designated for my dancers and I, and listened to Ms. Hague speak. She told us an overview of the tour and then introduced us all to eachother. When she called out my name, I stood up and noticed a pair of sparkling blue eyes and a great smile looking me up and down.

"Go Laura!" Tamara whispered as I sat down. "Looks like Nick Carter was checking you out." I blushed.

The caterers came and brought out all the food, so we all talked and laughed, enjoying the calmness for a little while. After dinner, the music started up again, and some people went out to dance. I was talking to Sidney and Tamara when I saw Sid's eyes bright up and I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Would you like to dance?" A clear, bright voice asked.

I turned around and looked into the blue eyes I'd noticed earlier.

"Sure," I said as I stood up and was led to the dance floor.

"Excited about the tour?" he asked as we were grinding away to the music.

"Definetly! I can't wait to perform. I love being on stage so much!" I smiled.

"Me too. You really miss performing while you're not on tour. I can't wait to be back," he grinned that famous Carter grin.

We danced for another hour or so before we started getting a little tired. He led me over to where Brian, Kevin, and AJ were sitting.

"Hey guys! Meet Laura! Laura, this is Brian, Kevin, and AJ."

"Hi Laura," Brian smiled as he kissed my hand.

"Nice to meet you guys! I must admit, this is a dream come true! You guys have always been a total inspiration to me," I smiled.

"Ouh! I like this girl already!" AJ laughed.

"Shut up Bone! So anyways, tell us a little about yourself. We don't know anything about you, and I'm sure you know something about us," Kevin smiled.

"Okay. I'm an eighteen year old from Silver Spring, Maryland. As you can see, I'm a blonde with blue eyes, and I'm about 5'11. I started singing when I was three, and took dance classes starting at age five. I'm an only child, so I guess you could say I'm kind of spoiled, but my parents were never home when I was younger due to their jobs, so I stayed with different friends a lot, and they're all like my brothers and sisters. I love doing all kinds of sports, especially softball, tennis, and swimming. I love to read, write, SHOP, dance, sing, and last but definetly not least, I LOVE to act. I was in all my school plays/musicals since kindergarten, and if I wasn't here singing, I'd be off acting. Ummm....anything else you wanna know?"

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Nick asked.

"Not at the moment. I've been too busy lately. Why? Do you guys have girlfriends?"

"I don't," Nick winked.

"I do. She's coming on tour with us. Her name is Brenna," Brian sighed.

"Awww. Bribears in love," Nick cooed.

"Oh shush up Frack."

"He's the only one here who's not single so we always tease him," Kevin laughed at his cousin.

Who Let The Dogs Out by the Baja Men cam on and AJ dragged me over towards the dance floor.

*back at the table*

"What's wrong Nick?" Kevin asked as he saw Nick glaring over towards the dance floor.

"I think Frack is jealous" Brian taunted.

"What do you mean? I barely know her!" Nick snapped.

"Yup, he is! We weren't even talking about Laura!" Kevin laughed.

AJ and I returned and I noticed Nick's glare. "What's wrong Nicky? You okay?" I asked as I sat down next to him.

"I'm fine," he said as his face creased into a slight smile.

"Aww! That's better! I love your adorable smile," I giggled.

He smiled and then stuck his tongue out at me.

"Laura? It's almost one, so we better get you back home so you can be rested for tomorrow," Tamara said as she approached the table.

"Okay. By the way, everyone, this is Tamara and vice versa."

"Hello 'everyone'," Tamara laughed.

"It was nice meeting you Laura and Tamara!" Nick smiled.

"Buh byez!" I said over my shoulder as we walked out the door.
