I woke up and looked into the mirror. I hadn’t been able to fall asleep for a while after the dream. I slipped into a pair of jean flares and a Girls Rock t-shirt.
“Bubbles, you coming?”
“Yeah, hold on.”
I put some concealer on so it wouldn’t be obvious that I had been crying, and we made our way to the breakfast room downstairs.
“Sidney? Did you hear any crying last night? Nick and I could have sworn we heard someone sobbing.” Brian asked when Sidney approached the table. I had gone to get us two hot chocolates, so the guys hadn’t seen me yet. I walked over and Nick said hi.
“Hey,” I said tiredly before sitting down.
“You okay?” Nick asked as he raised my chin with his finger. “You weren’t the one crying, were you?”
“Umm…” I sighed.
“Babe? What’s wrong?” He asked as he pulled me into a hug.
“I just had a bad dream. That’s all! Now leave me alone!” I said as I slipped out of his arms and huffed off.
“Leave her be, Nick,” Sidney stopped him from getting up. “Just let her cool down. She had a rough night and you were part of it, so she just needs some time to herself. Don’t worry, she’ll be back to normal soon!” Sidney reassured him.
After I left the table, I changed into my swim suit and went to the pool. I started doing laps to burn off some of my frustration.
“Princess? Is that you?”
I turned around to see Justin in his bathing suit holding a towel.
“What’s wrong?” he asked. “You look a little upset.”
I pulled myself out of the pool and lay down on a lounge chair. Justin pulled a lounge chair next to me, and we both lay down.
“Come on Laura, you can tell me.”
“I just had a really bad dream last night. I’m so afraid of what the fans’ reactions will be. I mean, I really want them to like me, but what if they don’t?”
“Princess, don’t worry! You’ll do fine! All you have to do is go out on stage and be yourself!”
“I know, but I’ve never been this worried before! I mean, I’ve always just gone out on stage and done what I love, but this time I’m REALLY nervous! And it might be largely because of all of you! Because I really want to do my absolute best in front of you and Brian and Zac and Taylor and especially Nick!”
“Sweetie! Calm down! You will do absolutely fantastic, you just need to have more faith in yourself! Anyways, it’s time to get ready to go to the venue, so go upstairs and get ready, and come back down with your usual self confidence!”
“Thanks Justin. I really needed someone to tell me that!” I smiled and we went up to our rooms to change and get ready.
