Baffling Circumstances: Eyes in the Dark

Jareth:

Jareth sighed heavily and rolled his eyes as a girl dropped from the ceiling of the oubliette and landed with a pronounced 'thud' on the hard-packed ground. Today seemed to be the day to do such a thing, and under other circumstances, it might have been a rather pleasant experience to have girls raining from the heavens. But this was just far too frequent an occurrence for comfort.

"And who might you be?" he asked as the girl sat up.

Genevieve:

Genevieve got the feeling of being watched again as Demisis followed the stone. "I wonder why this feeling won't go away. She shook her head. "It's probably just those stupid lichen." she said. Genevieve turned around just in time to see Demisis fall through the ground. *Ouch, that must hurt,* she thought to herself as she jumped off the wall and rushed to the hole to see if Demisis had indeed been hurt. She peered down the hole. "Ohh, it is so dark in there. I hate dark places." she thought to herself. She listened a little closer. She could hear muffled voices. "Well, that might be a good sign. Oh I wish that I could use my powers!," she said out loud as she fiddled with her satchel. *I know that the orb was in here when we first entered the Labyrinth!* she thought to herself as she emptied the satchel. She pulled out a small pouch. *I knew it.* Genevieve went back to the hole and leaned in as far as she could go. "Demisis.... Are you okay?" she hollered. Genevieve opened the pouch and pulled out a small orb that produced a brilliant light. "Look out," she called down as she dropped the orb down the oubliette. The orb illuminated the cavern.

Raven:

Raven watched Genevieve jump down to the hole and shook her head. "There went half of the fun. Now I must follow." She walked over to the hole and jumped in quietly, not letting anyone hear her. She stood in the shadows and watched the people inside.

Demisis:

Demisis tried to focus her eyes around the room in which she seemed to be in. Noticing the dark figure standing before her she glanced him over but the darkness didn't give her much to go on. "My name is Demisis. Sorry to drop on you like this but I truly don't know much about this labyrinth to be able to keep away from surprises." Smirking lightly she heard Genevieve call down to her.

"I'm fine Genevieve! Just another shocker on my part." Once the orb landed in front of Demisis she quickly covered her eyes. "Damn that's bright." Slowly regaining herself she decided to get another look at the man before her. Gazing at him with her icy blue eyes she stopped herself from gasping. She couldn't be too sure if it was the goblin king himself yet he was amazing. Pulling her eyes away from him she straightened her cloak and noticed the hood had fallen away from her face exposing her long midnight hair and pale complexion.

"Oh yeah there goes my cover," she mumbled to herself. Averting her eyes back upward she called out, "Are you coming down as well or am I going to be stuck here...,"she stopped talking as she noticed a fairy to her left and another young man. Raising an eyebrow she asked, "Aren't you Jack?" Since she could only see the outlines of the fellow she couldn't be too sure yet she knew if it was Genevieve would be happy. Smiling to herself she waited for Genevieve to take some action.

Jack:

Oona floated back towards Jack, the newcomers probably frightened her. Still concealing himself in the darkness, he answered, "Yes, I'm Jack. How did you know?"

Jareth:

By the illumination of the glowing orb, it was all too apparent that the confines of the oubliette were far too confining with so many people contained therein. Jareth's eyes glittered with discontent. The situation was not developing as he would have it.

"Well, perhaps I should leave you to get a bit more cozy. Enjoy." With that, he disappeared from the oubliette . . .
