Twin Towers Fund

The City of New York and the State of New York are gratified by and deeply appreciative of the outpouring of support from the individuals and corporations from across the country and across the world.

Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani has established the Twin Towers Fund to ensure that the generous outpouring of support for the families of our uniform service heroes affected by the disaster are coordinated, responsive, responsible and accountable.

The purpose of the Twin Towers Fund is to assist the families of the members of the uniformed services of the New York City Fire Department and its Emergency Medical Services Command, the New York City Police Department, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York State Office of Court Administration and other government offices who lost their lives or were injured because of the tragedies of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York City. If resources permit, the families of other persons who lost their lives or were injured during the tragedies may also be included as beneficiaries.
