I finished up my laundry and packed it all up again. I exited the house, making sure everything was locked up, and headed back to the airport again. I checked in and boarded the plane. Dylan was sound asleep, since we were on a late flight. I smiled at my sleeping child and gazed out the window. Oh my God! I forgot to call Josh!
I pulled out my cell phone and dialed his cell number.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Josh. Sorry I didn't call you earlier."
"It's okay, I've been busy anyway. So I take it you made it all right."
"Yep."
"That's good, well I guess I'll talk to you later."
"Yeah, okay. Bye."
I hung up and the plane took off for our destination. When we arrived at the airport in New York, I was greeted by a bodyguard who took me to the baggage claim and then out to the van. He put my bags in the back and we headed towards where the guys were.
"So where we goin'?"
"To the hotel, the guys will be there shortly."
"Okay. Is it a nice hotel?"
"Yeah, it is."
"Okay. Where are they at now?"
"Finishing up a show."
"Oh, how much longer are they here for?"
"A couple more days. Somebody's full of questions tonight."
"Sorry, just making conversation."
"It's okay. So who's the kid?"
"He's mine."
"I figured as much, who's the father?"
"Josh Hartnett."
"Oh, how come you're not with him now?"
"We broke up earlier today."
"Oh I see."
"Yeah."
We pulled to into the parking lot and headed inside. We took the elevator to the top floor and he let me into Brian's room.
"Where am I staying?"
"Here."
"But isn't this Brian's room?"
"Yeah, he wanted you to stay with him."
"Oh."
I seated myself on the bed, he exited.
"I have to go make sure they get into the hotel okay."
"All right."
I waited for the guys to come up, occupying my time with Dylan.
******
"Is she here?"
"Yes, she's waiting in your room."
"Okay."
The six of us hurried into the hotel and into the elevator. We arrived at the top floor and scattered to our rooms.
I slowly opened the door to my room and saw Sandra on the floor playing with Dylan.
******
Brian walked in and seated himself on his bed.
"Hi Brian."
"Hi."
He lifted himself up and walked into the bathroom to wash off his sweaty face and came back out.
"I'm glad you came."
"Well, I'm glad you're glad."
He smiled at me and sat across from me on the floor.
"So, are you really okay with the Josh thing?"
"Yeah, things just weren't right with us anymore. It was a mutual decision."
"Okay."
"So, why did you want me to stay in your room?"
"I don't know. I didn't think you'd want to stay with Jennifer and Nick."
"You have three other friends though."
"Well, I guess I never thought of them."
"Okay."
Brian began tickling Dylan. I watched him and the way he handled Dylan. It was sweet yet sexy at the same time.
"Thank you Brian."
"For what?"
"For being there for Dylan and for me."
"No problem, I care about you two."
I smiled and leaned closer to him. He looked up then back at Dylan. He then did a double take. He moved his hands from Dylan to my shoulders and slowly pulled my body towards his. He pressed his lips against mine, I returned the kiss.
"I've been waiting to do that for the longest time," Brian stated as we pulled away.
"Well, you got what you've been waiting for."
"Are you sure you want to do this so soon?"
"Yeah, Josh even told me to come and date you."
"Oh."
Brian smiled and I pulled him towards me, kissing him passionately.
"Mama, Bian!!!" Dylan yelled.
We pulled apart and looked at the child, who was clapping as he did when Josh and I kissed.
"I guess he approves," Brian joked.
"Well, he wouldn't have much say in the matter anyway."
"Is that so?"
"You better believe it."
I pulled Brian towards me once again, kissing him forcefully. He instantly returned, deepening the kiss. Dylan cheered again and Brian and I pulled apart and entertained Dylan till he fell asleep. Brian placed Dylan in his crib and turned to me, a mischievous smile spread across his face.
"Where were we?"
"Right here."
I pulled him to me and kissed him again. We had finally gotten what we both had wanted: each other.
