Josh and I left early the next morning, before Jennifer was even awake. Something about this still felt ill-fated, but I pushed the feeling aside and thought of something different. We boarded the plane and moments later we were up in the air heading towards California.
The plane landed a few hours later, Josh and I both waking up from sleep. He carried Dylan off the plane and I followed. We rescued our luggage and found the white van to take us to where he needed to be.
"Can I talk to you about something?" Josh questioned his publicist.
"Yes."
"Do you think we could get her a job working for you or something?" Josh motioned towards me.
"Yeah, she could be my assistant."
"Okay. Is that okay Sandra?"
"Yeah it's fine."
"Okay."
We pulled up behind NBC Studios, where Josh would be appearing on Jay Leno.
******
Three months later...I had been on the road with Josh for nearly three months now. We're really close, but I still feel like something not so good is going to happen. Sometimes, we have tension surrounding us making it hard to be in the same room with him. Things between us are fine one minute, then the next they aren't. I didn't know what to do and I wasn't sure I loved him like I used to.
Jennifer wasn't at home since she was on tour with Nick and the rest of his band mates. I couldn't talk to her, I had no one to talk to.
"Sandra, we need you."
"Be right there."
I walked into where I was being summoned.
"Can you make sure that Josh sees this before I release it to the public?"
"Yeah, sure."
I took the paper from her and headed to Josh.I handed him the paper.
"You need to okay this."
He read over everything, handing it back to me.
"Yeah, it's okay."
"Thanks."
I returned the statement and the message and left the room.
"Sandra." Now who is calling me? "What?"
"Could you come here?"
I recognized Josh's voice and walked into the room he was in.
"Yes?"
"Come sit down."
I did as he said, he began kissing me. I pushed him away after a few moments.
"What did you do that for?"
"I don't want to kiss you right now."
"Maybe later?"
"Maybe."
I stood up and quickly exited the room to tend to Dylan. This wasn't working for me, I needed to get out and I needed to do it fast. Something inside me told me Josh felt the same way I did, but he was hiding it so he wouldn't hurt me again. Just like he promised.
