The next morning screaming coming from outside was awakening Justin. It was Britney and Laura Lynn having a snowball fights. He obviously wasn't going to get any sleep, so went outside to join them.
"Oh! Justin did we wake you?" Laura Lynn asked.
"Nah! I usually get up this early." Justin said with sarcasm.
"We'll be quieter so you can sleep." Britney said.
"No, it's okay. I'm already up so I might as well start the day, oh about two hours earlier then I normally do." Just then Laura Lynn flung a snowball and hit Justin right in the face. It was an all out war between the three of them.
"Hey, all this stuff is wearing me out! I'm going to and get some hot chocolate." Laura Lynn said.
"Are you coming back outside?" Justin asked.
"Probably later. It's just too cold to stay out here for very long." Laura Lynn said.
"Plenty warm to me." Britney said as Justin kissed her.
"You know what?" Justin asked her.
"What?" Britney asked.
"You're it!" Justin said slamming her with a ball of snow on the top of her head.
"That's it!" Britney said grabbing snow as fast as she could and dodging from Justin's snowballs.
"This isn't fair. You're stronger than I am!" Britney said.
"Not my fault you weren't taught how to throw a snowball the correct way." Justin said.
"Why not the great teacher shows me how?" Britney asked. Justin showed her how the ball the snow up so it won't end up in powder half way in the air. Britney put all her strength into and it flung it clear across the yard. She wanted to hit Laura Lynn, but unfortunately she hit her neighbor Mr. Gregory.
"I am so sorry Mr. Gregory." Britney said running over to him.
"You know young lady you should account for people living close to you. Especially at my age. I need not be watching for snow balls these days." Mr. Gregory said.
"I am so sorry. I'll make sure my friend and boyfrie... I mean friends." Britney smiled.
"You do that. Make sure that you and friends don't make so much noise. A man at my age needs his nap and with kids running around all time keeps me from that." Mr. Gregory said walking up to his sidewalk.
"What was that about?" Justin asked.
"Mr. Gregory was just mad at the snowball and us making so much noise." Britney said.
"He didn't say anything mean to you did he?" Justin said on defense.
"Don't worry about it. Let's just play in the snow." Britney said.
"Where's Laura Lynn?" Justin asked building up snow.
"She went inside to get some hot chocolate. Laura Lynn lives in Ohio so she isn't used to snow like I am." Britney said.
"Great." Justin said. Britney wondered Justin reaction when Laura Lynn wasn't there. Justin walked up to Britney and gave her a kiss on the lips.
"You know Justin, if we keep sneaking around like this, everyone's going to find out." Britney said.
"If they do we can't stop them." Justin said kissing her on the neck. Justin's touch was so warm and exciting that Britney didn't want him to stop, but knowing that someone would catch them bothered her.
"Justin!" Britney screamed and let go.
"What?!" Justin asked irritably.
"Someone might catch us." Britney said walking away with a terrified look in her eyes.
"What's wrong? You are really confusing me here and I want to know why Britney." Justin said. Britney didn't know why she acted the way she did. But just the thought of being caught and the family finding out they lied terrified her.
"I'm going inside." Britney said running to the front door. Justin had no idea what he had done. Britney never acted that way towards him even back in high school. Now all of a sudden she is afraid of his intentions. Maybe fate was telling him she wasn't the one. Those thoughts raced through Justin's mind. He soon went inside himself.
That night was awkward in itself too. Everyone was watching television or playing cards.
"Did you and Justin have fun after I left?" Laura Lynn asked.
"I don't know." Britney said.
"I see the glow in your eyes every time someone mentions his name or he walks into the room. I'm surprised everyone else haven't confronted you two on it." Laura Lynn said.
"Can we talk about something else, PLEASE." Britney said sitting on the couch.
"Okay what happened?" Laura Lynn asked.
"Nothing." Britney said starring out the window.
"Something bound to have happened. You are my best friend and I want to be there for you." Laura Lynn said.
"I pushed him away." Britney said with tears rolling down her already red cheeks.
"What?" Laura Lynn asked.
"He was kissing me on the neck and I pushed him away." Britney said.
"Why?" Laura Lynn asked.
"For some reason I was scared of him. Never in all the time that we've known each other have I ever been scared of him. For the most part, he was the one person I felt comfortable with most. Now I don't know what I feel anymore." Britney said.
"You have to tell everyone what's going on. You can't just mope around the house and then say you're fine and everyone knows your not." Laura Lynn said.
"I cant!" Britney said.
"Then how are you going to explain to Justin what happened when you can't even talk to me about it." Laura Lynn asked.
"I don't know. I feel like such a dope. I mean, he was being very affectionate towards me, but I acted as if I didn't care. But I do Laura Lynn. I just messed up everything." Britney said crying again.
"KNOCK! KNOCK!"
"Come in." Laura Lynn said. Justin walked and immediately noticed Britney was crying.
"I'll leave you two alone." Justin said walking towards the door.
"Justin. Don't leave. I think she needs you right now." Laura Lynn said grabbing her bathrobe and leaving.
"Sweetie, what's wrong?" Justin asked sitting down beside her.
"I feel so scared." Britney said.
"Why?" Justin asked.
"Every time I get near you, I feel like I'll be caught and my family is never going to trust me again because I lied to them." Britney said.
"Oh." Justin managed to say. It was all Justin could say.
"I feel like we're rushing into things. I mean we just discovered we had feelings more than friendship." Britney said.
"Britney, honey I love you. I don't care if even my own mother catches us. Nothing will ever change my feelings for you. Please tell me you feel the same way." Justin said. Britney stood up and kissed Justin on the lips.
"Is that yes?" Justin asked between kisses.
"Oh yeah." Britney said slipping her tongue into Justin's mouth and massaging it.
"Justin... I..I L..ove... Y..ou." Britney said. She was stuttering her words because this was the first she said them and actually meant it.
"What was that?" Justin asked her.
"I love you." Britney said starring at Justin with her beautiful brown eyes.
"I love you too baby." Justin said kissing her neck. Expecting her to get nervous again, Justin gently kissed her neck. Britney moaned and lifted up Britney's shirt. She returned the favor helped Justin take off his shirt. Although the room also belonged to Laura Lynn, they didn't care.
"Justin you feel so good." Britney said when he laid her on the bed.
"You do to baby." Justin said kissing her inch of her stomach.
"Oh My God!" A woman's voice said when she walked into Britney and Laura Lynn's room.
