“Hey Lance. Victoria will be ready shortly.” Brooke said when Lance showed up.
“Do I look alright?” Lance asked her.
“You look fine. This date is really important to you isn’t it?” Brooke asked him.
“Yes, very. I know we just met, but I have this strange connection to her that this is the one person that I’m supposed to spend the rest of my life with. I have that feeling that every day is going to be spent being devoted to her and taking care of her.” Lance said. Brooke couldn’t believe her ears. Lance was telling her his deepest feelings for Victoria and she was keeping the biggest secret of all to him.
“That’s so sweet. Victoria talks about you all the time. It’s like Lance does this and Lance does that. It’s non stop. I’m glad you two have found happiness with each other.” Brooke said. Victoria came down in a burgundy dress with a tie in the front, white hose and burgundy heels. Her hair was in a French twist. Her makeup was done perfectly. She was wearing a diamond necklace that Brooke had given her especially for that night.
“Wow! You look amazing Victoria.” Lance said.
“Same to you.” Victoria said smiling.
“You two kids have fun!” Brooke said as they walked out the door.
“Where are we going?” Victoria asked.
“It’s a surprise.” Lance said. Even though Lance said it was a surprise, Victoria knew exactly were they were going. There was only one elegant restaurant around campus. They pulled up at the restaurant and Victoria wondered why Lance said it was going to be a surprise when it really wasn’t. However, when they walked in, the two of them were escorted to the back of the restaurant where their table was already prepared with their meals.
“How did you know what to order me?” Victoria asked.
“I remembered what you ordered at the student union so I went along with that. I hope you like it.” Lance said.
“I love it already.” Victoria said looking around the room and seeing all the lights.
“I want to ask you something.” Lance asked her.
“Okay, I’m listening.” Victoria said.
“What’s your middle name?” Lance asked.
“My full name is Victoria Lynne Monroe.” Victoria said.
“Well, Victoria Lynne, would you like to be my girlfriend?” Lance asked.
“I would love to be your girlfriend.” Victoria said happily.
“Great, I brought you a gift that would commemorate that we are a couple.” Lance said pulling out a box. Victoria thought it was an engagement ring. He opened up the box and revealed a necklace with a red diamond shaped heart. Victoria wanted to cry when she looked at it.
“It’s beautiful.” Victoria said. Lance took it out of the box and helped Victoria put it around her neck. Lance pulled her closer and they shared their first kiss. Victoria felt like a princess when Lance kissed her. Her whole entire world was perfect.
“What are you thinking right now?” Lance asked her.
“That I have met the most perfect man in the world and I’m never letting go.” Victoria said smiling.
“I won’t let you.” Lance said smiling also.
When they got back to their dorm room, they started tearing each other’s clothes off.
“Are you ready for this?” Lance asked her between kisses.
“I’ve never been more ready for anything.” Victoria said. The next few hours would nothing but complete happiness.
“You know. If we keep this up, the people next door are going to report us.” Victoria said lying in Lance’s arms.
“Why can’t we just move off campus?” Lance asked her.
“Then we would have to both get jobs and hardly ever see each other. I like this just the way it is.” Victoria said.
“Winter break is coming up soon. I want to invite you to my parents house for Christmas. Would your family mind you spending it with me and my family?” Lance asked.
“No, since my mom died and my father doesn’t visit at all, Christmas Day is just another day on the calendar.” Victoria said.
“Are you into Christmas though?” Lance asked her.
“Yeah! I love to decorate and make Christmas cookies. The whole nine yards. This room will be Santa’s workshop when I’m done with it during the Christmas season.” Victoria said.
“Good, because my family is big on Christmas. I’ll ask my mom if she doesn’t mind you coming.” Lance said grabbing the phone.
“What’s your mom’s name?” Victoria asked.
“Diane. My father’s name is Jim.” Lance said dialing the number.
“Hey, dad. Would you mind me bringing a guest for Christmas break this year?” Lance asked.
“Is it that girl Stacy was going on and on about today?” Jim asked him.
“Yes, that’s her. Her name is Victoria.” Lance said.
“I’ll let you talk to your mother." Jim said passing the phone to Diane.
“Hi Sweetie how are you?” Diane said cheerfully.
“Just fine mom. Do you mind me bringing a friend over for Christmas break?” Lance asked.
“If it’s Victoria, I would love to have her. The way Stacy talks about her, I feel like I know her already.” Diane said
“Great.” Lance said.
“Well, I can’t wait to see you and Victoria.” Diane said.
“It won’t be too long.” Lance said.
“Okay, bye.” Diane said hanging up and Lance hung up.
“Seems like I’m a house name.” Victoria said.
“Yeah, they are thrilled that you’re coming.” Lance said.
“What about Thanksgiving beak?” Victoria asked.
“What about it?” Lance asked her.
“I would love to visit your family for Thanksgiving break also, if that isn’t a big problem.” Victoria asked.
“It shouldn’t be. I’m sure my family would be happy to meet you since they’re excited about Christmas break.” Lance said.
“Great.” Victoria said happily.
“What would you have done if you weren’t going to my parents for Thanksgiving break?” Lance asked.
“Either hanging around campus or go home and hang out there. My family isn’t into holidays anymore so I just treat it like it was any other day.” Victoria said.
