Project Profile: Development of SOA based system to grant licenses for wireless and satellite based transmitters/receivers for Govt. and Private agencies.

Principal Architect

Responsibilities:

• Headed the development of SOA based services to process licensing applications received from private entities which reduced the processing time from over ninety days to eighteen days.
• Design and development of data integration within internal FCC bureaus using ESB and unified XML schema.
• Provided guidance on SOA design principals and technology and introduced the concepts behind enterprise SOA strategy as the agency’s current goal of migrating from a legacy implementation.

Project: Health insurance management for the Govt of Saudi Arabia

A web based solution to administer health insurance companies operating in Saudi Arabia to provide claim management and policyholder management.

Responsibilities:

• Performed architectural assessments of multi-tier (Tomcat server) based application.

• Designed an Internet based portal for insurance companies selling various health insurance products to the personnel working in Saudi Arabia. Some of the features include:

·        Tools for each participating insurance company to administer accounts belong to its policyholders.

• Design and developed J2EE based framework for a business-to-business portal for content (audio, video & text ) distribution service over the internet.
• Design and developed authentication service using Netscape directory server (LDAP server) and interface it with the Weblogic EJB server.
• Developed a web interface for a Netscape Directory Server for “User Management” to support new user creation, modification, deletion and search based on various criteria.

Software Consultant ( Internet Development Group)

Project :

A portal specifically designed to offer various communication products like VPN based on Frame-Relay, ATM, high speed DSL, T1, T3 and web hosting services to serve business customers. It also help customer to monitor and manage VPN or leased line  over the internet. A customer can perform real time statistics, monitor network health (through an applet), increase or decrease bandwidth, generate trouble ticket and various other things to manage network more efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Part of a team developing a business-to-business (B2B) portal to offer communications services based on ATM, & Frame Relay networks. The site was based on Sun Solaris server using BEA system’s WebLogic EJB server.
• Developed an internet based real time Frame Relay/ATM network monitoring system to display network’s current status, fault history, alarms using  EJB ( Enterprise Java Beans)  and JHTML ( Java Server Page ) and integrated it  with trouble ticket management systems to generate automated trouble ticket.
• Developed a java based multithreaded server to process network alarms and store them in Oracle 8.0 database
• Developed a dynamic GIF file generator to plot graphs to display network statistics using java based  API and  JHTML ( Java Server Page) and servlets.

·        Developed an interface using Java Native Interface (JNI) to call legacy database connectivity API for internet based supply chain management software.
