The purpose of this festival is to unite people from different communities and cultures; to build solidarity amongst one other. Our goals are to gather our collective ideas and put them into each of our own thoughts, plans, and actions. By working together we can educate ourselves on one another's struggles, and realize that all of our struggles are interconnected in one form or another. We want to bring groups and individuals together through education, empowerment, and enabling people to collectively work and discuss issues that concern us all. With this knowledge we will be able to foster new ideas, and reach others who are of like mind, and organize our own groups to take direct action. Everyone's participation and commitment is encouraged, please feel free to share your ideas and concerns. We are inviting everyone regardless of what race you are or what scene you belong to. It's time to put the Punk Movement back on the streets and working with Crips, Bloods, Cholos, Panthers, Feminist, American Indian Movement, Mexicano Activist, Asians, and other revolutionaries. Making Punk a real threat again.....This is the opportunity to get involved with grass roots organizations and activists, and to use your own networks and skills to help make a difference in your communities. Please understand that the festival's main purpose is to bring people together to educate each other and learn about other cultures and movements. This is not just a musical event it's a learning experience. All of the groups involved in the festival have the common interest of fighting oppression. Support of one anothers' ideas has been the key role in our collaboration.
